While the cost of buying a pack of smokes a day is comparable to playing lottery games, the reasons for doing either are not.

I've always liked the smaller jackpot games like Buckeye 5, Rolling Cash 5, Ten Oh, and now I'm hooked on Cash Ball. With much smaller odds against us, winning a jackpot is more reasonable and with smaller overall odds of winning something, on average we're getting 5 chances to win the jackpot for $4 a drawing.

I most definitely agree with your first sentence and am completely convinced that playing when the numbers are in season brings more consistent wins...or the absolute best chance of winning.

So if this is my VICE whats wrong with spending the money on it 'until' I win? I don't smoke, or drink (consistently). I bring lunch to work, so don't 'BUY lunch.

But if I win anything then I get ahead vs all the above 'vices' where the money is never coming back.

So I am comfortable with spending a little money on the lottery.

I'm not making a profit at the moment and I have no plans on taking a break. I play PB, MM and HL which are jackpot games, so unless I win 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize I am probably not going to be making a profit in the first place.

You do not have to play everyday.

To profit is a dream, so to speak. You are not going to win all the time. Unless the win is huge?

To take a break, is normal and quite favorable for the mind.

Sometimes you think one way and you get burned time after time.

After the break, you might come out on top!

Always look towards the top, never the bottom.

Still chasing the pipe dream and losing along the way! Who said being persistent didnt have a payoff, I help payoff all the senior citizens meds and foods that our lottery funds go towards :) Which good ole PA still likes to boast its lottery supports the Seniors yet only 20% out of the 50% they set aside goes to senior programs...you do the math for where that money really goes...

Don't put down cigs and beer. At least I get some entertainment from them. Not that I don't get entertainment in playing the lottery, but that's not guaranteed. What is guaranteed is that I can make my lungs black while inhaling cigs, and getting a nice buzz while sipping Heinekens....Sorry...no comparison.

Unless you've won a jackpot or the second prize in one of the multi-state games, the question should be how much have you lost chasing the big prize . If I can keep my loses down to an affordable amount then I feel the chase has been worth the cost.

No one ever ask how much profit have you made drinking all those six packs or smoking those cartons of cigarette and yet where I buy my lottery tickets they make most of their money selling cigarettes, beer and gasoline.

Its always good to take a break. One month I did real well, the next month, not so well. I 've learn to keep your system updated, even when you are not playing. That way your system won't or your feel for the numbers won't get cold. I play on paper or put my numbers on the predictions board on this site to see if I can get back in the winning circle. At this time i am not winning . Have not made any profit this month so am taking a break . When do you break away from playing ? do you play everyday ? Anyone can win the lottrey but if you not making profits its time to take a break. What do you think
