Tell that to the guy that was in jail for 27years innocent.

The system is not 100% perfect, but it's the best system we have. Unfortunately for that guy, it didn't work, but the system is designed to work as close as possible to truth and integrity. There will always be holes within that system, like corruption, and that guy fell thru it. Or it could be a myriad of other circumstances which led to the unjust guilty decision.

If we let aliens from other countries, sure, as long as the outer space aliens pay with a USA dollar for the tickets. Although, in the movies, you normally see an alien appear naked. Then he proceeds to find clothes. And robs in order to get some cash - so in that case, it would be stolen money that he used to purchase the tickets.

Hmmm...maybe that would disqualify them from getting the jackpot

Sometimes you don't need proof. There's a term called Preponderance of the Evidence , meaning despite the inadequate evidence present, there are many other sufficient facts surrounding the subject in question, to believe it's true .

Do they have social security numbers? And legal addresses? And proof of residency? I guess if they can satisfy which ever state they buy tickets in that they are legal then they can claim prizes. But I don't think the state revenue folks nor the IRS will accept second star on the right, straight on until morning as a legal address.

since the first time i began playing the lottery i thought that the lottery was some sort of: calendar for aliens or to contact aliens...

i think atoms and small particles work like a lottery...
