Depending on where I win would determine the precautions I would take. If I won in my home state, a disguise would be necessary.....Howard Stern, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash (from GnR), Abe Lincoln, a pre-op tranny, I don't care, I would want to have fun, but not have my real, ugly self to be shown in public (not only would this protect my children from strangers it would prevent them from further ridicule of having an ugly dad.) Think of all the mean comments that people made about Bunky and Big Macs.... [ More ]

I wouldn't say buying a tax stamp is begging. I like to think of it more as legal bribery. I didn't make up the rules I just play by them.

Depending on the state or country you live in, your name and the place where the winning ticket was bought is public information. Some states or countries even require you to appear at a press conference. There is a video on the internet of an israeli couple who won the lotto and had to appear on tv so they decided to wear masks. There was an American woman who won, I forgot which state it was but she came to the press conference with her lawyer and she wore sunglasses and a wig. And she made he... [ More ]

Luckily, I live in a state where a person can collect lotto prizes anonymously. But even if I couldn't remain anonymous, there is no doubt in my mind I would absolutely want to win the lotto.

To make sure I don't become a target, I'd make it known I won't keep large amounts of cash or precious metals in my home. I'd make people think that most of my wealth is in the banking system or tide up in long term investments that I don t have immediate access to even if that's not really the case.... [ More ]

So pretty much everyone say they will do whatever it takes to stay anonymous if they win the lottery. But what if you can't stay anonymous? Let say if you win the lottery, you will have to appear on Oprah or The Lottery Changed My Life. Would you still want to win the lottery? What will you do after appearing on TV to make sure you don't get bothered or become a target .

I would imagine the best thing to do is to change your name and move somewhere where nobody knows who you are.
