Only two second prize tickets sold in NY according to USA Mega and every other source I could find. Even the graphic says there were two NY second prize winners but then it contradicts itself by saying a total of 4 second prize tickets were sold at two different stores. This is obviously an error.

Not necessarily dealers. Instead of buying the multiplier, I often will buy 2 $1 tickets with the same 5 white balls, and choose a different megaball on each in order to have another chance at the big jackpot.

If the 5 white balls come up, I have double without buying the multiplier.
