For example: if you think your folks may lend money to others if they found out you won(and you've come to the conclusion that they've given out money to cousins/aunts/their kids often) and you want to save so you won't have to work all your life.

Maybe it would be wise to just tell them you won the 100,000 instead of the 1 million so that you can still give them some, but they won't give it out?
