It depends on circumstances. If you have a strong hunch a number will be drawn, that's what you bet the day's budget on. If you are sure about two digits and uncertain which of a possible four will be the third, you divide the budget across the four.

The idea is always to play the smallest amount of your own money. Play larger with winnings, but not in a wasteful way.

Say you have two dollars a draw to spend, that's $128. a month. So you buy four numbers per draw boxed for fifty cent... [ More ]

Hey Olive33r, Play what you can afford to play, if you can play a dollar str8 and a dollar box you play! If you can only afford 50 str8 and 50 box then play it that way!

what is the best way to play pick 3 and 4 ? Example .50 or 1.00 bet boxed etc. Thanks new to this
