I've never really liked scratchers because I like to pick my own numbers. If I do buy one, it would be once in a blue moon on a whim. It's best to play Pick 3 or Pick 4. Odds are more realistic.

I used to save all my losing tickets for tax purposes if I would win a big one. But I have since stopped, since looking at the losers is discouraging.

Daveyl, I know what you mean. I've been dreaming hard, hoping to win something. A few days ago when I entered in my latest batch of losing tickets for replay, I decided to tally up how much I had spent and was floored realized that I spent close to $3,000 in the past 5 months. I won't buy lottery scratchers from now on. I picked up my measly winning few tickets, the prizes totaling $10.00, then reached into the garbage bag to recheck the non-winners. A fistful of non-winners was retrieved, and it dawned on me just how much money I've wasted trying to win these games. From scams to simple odds being against my winning, I think it's time I quit playing, and cease participating in this age-old ploy for the government to fatten it's coffers with my earnings....
