Thanks Todd - I'll try what you suggested about the paste as plain text . The way I've been pasting my workouts is to first paste into a Word Doc as formatted text, and copy that, and paste directly into the post. It's been working all this time, but now over the past week or two, it just stopped. I understand what you're saying about not being able to support every browser, especially ones that are outdated....now as for installing Google Chrome on my work computer?! Well, the best way to solve that is to install Google Chrome at work.

I'm not sure why you're having trouble with IE6 on XP. Although technically I don't support IE6 anymore, I do make sure to test the site in IE6/WinXP, and I fix any obvious problems I see. No detailed testing though. It's becoming too big of a task to support that crazy-ancient browser.

For example, I did test the menus extensively under IE6, and made several design changes just to accommodate IE6.

Great upgrades Todd....you da master! :) While I have absolutely no issues at home using Windows 7 with IE8, I continue to have a problem pasting things into posts using IE6 with Windows XP at the office. Any way that can be fixed? Thanks

At my previous job i did assist the Master Tech keep our antiquated UNIX system running.

Am currently taking a class for Computer Networking and Security.

I've built Windows based computers since 1997, but never got into programming.

Used to make my own web pages and host Tournaments at Case Ladder for the game Golden Tee Golf That was a riot.

Just fixed another bug that affected IE users running Windows XP. Most people noticed it when the Recent Posts page refused to finish loading. Vista and Windows 7 users most likely did not encounter this, only XP users. (Probably why I missed it.) I tracked down and fixed the bug, so it should not be happening anymore.

To everyone who encountered the popup menu problem, especially on the My Favorites page, that problem should be 100% fixed now. The problem also happened on the Recent Posts pages, the Event Calendar page, and on the two Lucky's systems.

Yes, if you only knew what I've been going through to keep the site up this week, you'd be amazed. I have been struggling not only to cope with the changes that have been installed on the site this week, but also with some massive security holes that were discovered this past weekend in the Microsoft technology that drives the site. There's just one person (me) who is trying to deal with all of these things simultaneously. I wish I had a big budget and IT staff to help out, but I don't.... [ More ]

Those are all good reasons, and they are some reasons why I personally changed over to Chrome. I really like that browser a lot. I saw that IE9 is doing many of the same things now, and it's really good, even though it's still a beta. For example, crashed tabs now come immediately back, like in Chrome. I had it happen to me and I was like whoa.

But one thing is for sure: I don't think IE will ever have updates happen as often or as smoothly as Chrome. Google is able to automatically get near... [ More ]

It is working on IE8, because I'm looking at it right now. I'd suggest clearing your cache and see if that helps. Or when you get to the page do a hard refresh by pressing Ctrl+F5.

When clicking on a person's screen name and choosing View recent posts - it seems to continue to search and never produces the list.

Is it me (IE8) or is it due to the latest programming? I haven't come across any other errors here.

I can use the LP search and do not have a problem seeing recent posts, that way.

Checked out IE 9 but I know Im gonna stick with Chrome. Its something about IE.....I hate the way add-ons are managed as opposed to chrome, maybe its my perception but IE seems slow, you cant recover windows when the IE crashes, and I have Turn-off-the-lights . Doesnt get any better than that plus the pin-tab works like a charm. Cant wait to see Chrome updates. Dont mean to get off topic but it seems like just 7 years ago I had a COMPAQ. lol. How times have changed.

Hey Todd,

I was taking a look at this problem with the pop-up menu in the Favorite Members section. The pop-up menu works if the person on your Favorites list is watching you. Hope it gives you some insight into debugging this one.....

Everything is much faster, especially opening the reply box. However I don't see the usual 468x60 ad at the top of the pages. Good thing you don't have adcents, IE8 wasn't able to open pages with it 7 out of 10 tries last five days, would have driven you crazy.

Lightning speed...Nice work Todd. Also, when hovering my pointer over the menu bar, it drops down and retracts now, as opposed to just appearing and disappearing. I thought it was a glitch on my laptop, until I saw your new update pinned at the top. Pretty cool...

Living in a hotel, the speed is awful at certain times of the day, but when I'm on LP, it's faster than any other site.

Will check out the other features.

Absolutely right, there is a bug there I need to fix. Thanks for reporting it. There's another similar one on the member list -- if you search for a member, the returned member name is not clickable . I'll be fixing all such bugs in an update.

One thing I did notice is if I go to My Favorites I no longer get a popup menu on the members I have flagged as favorites.

I tried clearing cookies but that didnt seem to resolve it..
