It all started back in the 70 s with the white belt and shoes conspiracy that came from New Jersey.

Old men wearing white belts and shoes and polyester pants and shirts held a convention and swore they would take over the lotteries after voting them in.

Basil, it's probably because old folks have some disposable income to 'invest' in such activities. You should see the old people at our local Casino. They're pullin' them handles, rollin' them bones, and they're double-downing at them Blackjack tables

Whoever is playing is who's winning. When I used to sell lottery tickets, yeah, there were a lot more senior folk playing. Also take a look around at casinos, you will see more people with snow on the roof but, hey, who cares? I wish them all well. After a lifetime of living and paying dues our elders deserve a big prize. A young person has the rest of their life (God willing) to accomplish the same.

I wouldn't really say people that do well financially win more often. Usually it's middle or lower class people winning with the occasional upper class person winning. The thing I noticed with most of the well off people who won, they didn't play as often or as much as the people who weren't doing as well financially. why is it that usually older peolpe win the lotto, i understand they play more, but why is ut usually from rich towns and people doing well financially
