i did a calc on a retirement planner,

$5M here in oz would mean $250k a year untill im 85, if i live longer then id be broke.

the calc also works infaltion in so at 84 , annual income would be $815k a year

yeah bank it and live off interest id say $5M would be pretty darned seet.

As I win my $342 million, I intend to repeatedly thank GOD. Out of all the folks playing I was the one to beat the odds.

Then I intend to pay tithes on every check I receive, since I will take the annuity.

Don't want the hassle of managing the whole jackpot at one time.

My annual checks will help keep me grounded and living within a reasonable and realistic budget.

After I checked to confirm they were the winning numbers I would put the ticket in a ziploc bag while I continued to stare in disbelief. That night I would go over past plans I have about winning the lottery and write down my ideas in detail. I'd then get all my stuff in order to go and visit the lawyers in the morning and start setting up an LLC and then once 2-3 weeks have passed he would go to Austin to collect the winnings in my LLCs name.

They have the vikinglotto here where if you win you keep all the winnings no tax at all.

Also they have a regular game lotto but the pot starts at 50k and the vikinglotto starts at 1mill + bonus...

I almost won a rollover for 350k on the regular game but missed it by one number.... I had 32 and needed a 33 ...

But my time will come...

You are so right RJOH. I would check the results on several sites and the newspaper, including calling my local lottery office for the official numbers. I did this after winning a smaller amount in a jackpot game many years ago. I know I would not react much different if it occured again. I don't know what I'll do after confirming the win. yeah its rare but sometimes the incorect numbers are either broadcast or printed on the webpages,

once i had to do a double take when i checked on a differnt site and 1 of the numbers where different.

yeah rechecking numbers again and agaIN IS A DEF, DISBELIEF IS my 1st reaction.

not that ive won a jackpot, but in my dream i had where i won, i rechecked again and again, thats i how remebered the details so vividly.

i kept looking at draw date, draw number, day, numbers,ticket.,

If you know you've won the jackpot then you probably have already done what I would do first. I would recheck my tickets several times after rechecking the posted drawing results to make sure I didn't make a mistake. Over the years I have had several false alarms so now I recheck everything even if it's just a small win.

I would first thank God, but I don't think he really cares who wins because the lottery is truly random. Then I would not tell anyone outside of family for at least 30 days so I don't have to deal with unwanted requests for money. Try to keep cool and maintain a low profile until I can come up with a sound plan on what to do with the money.
