I've now seen 10 losers in a row 3 times:

- once on $1,000 a Week for Life ($2 game)

- once on Pot O' Luck ($2 game)

- once on Lucky Cherry Slots ($5 game - this string was seen in the roll I bought. Happened after a $50 win

I was actually looking at the Super Set for Life ($20 ticket) and Set for Life ($10 ticket) and saw that Waco had a top prize winner in each of those. The first winner was a Set for Life winner of $250k/year for 15 years in October of last year then 4 months and 20 miles away they had a $500k/year for 15 years.

It's probably just a coincidence but thought it was interesting you had brought up that scenario and I had just finished looking into those games.

i had about 13 tickets in a row that was a dud in the 500 million dollars extravaganza i bought the whole row and the roll was a grand.I made back about 390.So i never played the extravaganza after that.I had a theory that if i stayed in the store and kept getting duds i will stay i the store until i win and that has only worked once on the magnificent millioni bought 11 duds and on the 12th it had a 250 dollar winner.I bought 12 3 million dollar richer and the 13th ticket was a 10 dollar coin b... That Extravaganza is the worst game - I've never been so suspicious of a game. The odds don't even seem close to what they say. I'm 4/18 on it after this morning.

Bought 8 $20.00, $100 Million Cash Extravaganza tickets yesterday and hit $40.00 on the 8th ticket. It's like playing fixed card game. You know it is rigged but you play anyway. DUH!!!!!

On the good side, if you count ALL your lotto winnings from the time you started playing, like some of us do, I'm still WAY ahead on these crooks. I've seen too many losing streaks to go to a lot of one ticket strategy. Tried it with Mother's Day today and got 1 winner of $5. Sometimes someone won big before a losing streak, and other times it's just a bad roll or range. I've seen more of the second outcome lately.

It was the $25 ticket in PA. I think I lost on 9 of them in a row. I remember spending $225 with no winners. I think I hit the end of the pack, so i couldnt go on. Someone must have done decent right before me. This might be a different topic but how do people feel about droughts. Do you think the winner came just before the drought or after? If before, then I guess chasing winners doesn't work too well

On FL scratch-offs, I kept seeing 13 and 31. either in the playing field or in the Your Numbers section. I thought there was something to it, but then I have found winners with either 13 or 31 one in either location and I have even won a 30.00 ticket with the 13 matching.

OK, here's an update on the PA instant scratch ticket and the number 24 In the last 3 weeks I have hit a few $100.00 winners and a few $50.00 winners. Two of those tickets had the numbers 24 or 14 on them. The rest of the winners I hit, including the $20.00 winners where I just got my money back, DID NOT have the numbers 24 or 14 on them.

Here, I believe $10 games like BWS and Money Money Money commonly have 8 losers. Though the most I have personally experienced on them is 6. Hope to never beat my record of 10 losers in a row.

I would never buy a $2,000 roll. You would need a $1,000 and a couple of $500 winners just to break even. The odds are strongly against that.

Yes, very rare super rolls. Haven't seen any in Miami but Fort Lauderdale yes. Most retailers aren't set up for a super roll and don't carry 'em. If I'm up there again and have a spare $20.00 I'll show it to ya.

What? The BDB Rolls are $1,000 making the tickets 000-049...I have never seen a 078 ticket on BDB before! ...if you see this again please take a pic, I havent seen them go that high, ever. Interesting.

The Texas lottery website has the number of winning tickets printed and claimed for each prize level as well as the total number of tickets and the number of tickets in a pack and a minimum dollar value for prizes in a pack. I don't know about FMC, but with BDB it depends. some retailers can only handle small packs but some few retailers have super rolls and go beyond the 49. i've seen tickets # 078 in BDB.

Perhaps we are all doing this wrong. Lets look at 20 million scratch-off queen Joan , she only buys tickets from one lotto store. And I saw a story the other day where a woman won 1 million from a 5 dollar scratcher then won another 1 million from the same$5.00 scratcher at the same freaken' store.

I find the beginning of the pack on FMC $20 tickets is the worst part of the roll. Several times Ive seen only 1 winner in the first 10 tickets.

Good thread. First off, I know I buy WAY too many $10.00 and $20.00 tickets each day. I have to travel for work and anytime I stop for fuel or coffee I try one or two or three or if I'm trying to catch up as many as five or six. I've already had six $10.00 and five $20.00 losers in a row. Probably should call the 800 number. BTW, they were the LAST five and six in a pack.

I can relate -- The TN Millionare's Club got me about a year ago -- but not THAT bad. I lost about 7 in a row on that one, and overall still lost about $180 (with other rolls factored in).

Yours is also frustrating because sounds like #29 is the last of the roll -- you would think the last or 2nd to the last ticket would have been some kind of winner.

$2 tickets - 10 losers

$5 tickets - 7 losers

$1 tickets ive had 12 duds in a row. I don't even bother with these anymore.

$5 tickets I lost about 8 straight once followed by a $50 win. That felt good !

$20 tickets have had 6 duds in a row twice and the follow up each time has been $25

I think the most losers I have had is in the 7-9 range for the $10 and $20 tickets.

For the $2 ones, hmm, it may be higher but I couldnt remember for sure...(probably one of those situations you drop from memory as best you can

Matt- I apprecaite your poll, I do think the ratio of ticket price carries itself over to the amount of losers one can expect.

Example: the One dollar scratchers average realisitically one out of 9 tickets ...But in actuality its close to one in 15

two dollar series: average one out 6 realistically one out of 8 ( I myself have gone 12 tickets with ZERo Winnings)

three dollar tickets: average one in 6, realistically one in 8

5 dollar tickets- average 1- 5....reality: 1 in 8

I agree. I bought 15-20 of them and won 1 time. Although I did win $100, still kinda lost hope in that game. I doubt Ill play that again. Plus someone already won the Top Prize in my city so my chances are slim.

I have had 6 losers in a row, I do believe. It could be more, but I did not record 100% of my ticket purchases perfectly, when I first started playing. It was on $2 Jumbo Bucks Classic. Some folks say that it is a good game, but I don't think that I have won more than $15 on it, and I usually lose.

Thought this would be interesting. Most losing tickets I have had in a row from a single roll is 10 - it was on $2 1,000 a Week for Life, on numbers #140 through #149.
