Interesting. I find it even more strange that Delaware had a Christmas drawing in 1979, but no drawing on New Year's Day a week later.

I saw Belgium had no Pick-3 drawing on Christmas, but they held lotto drawings for bigger games.

I have now begun to wonder: did Ohio start Christmas drawings after they moved the Kicker to coincide with Mega Millions after they cancelled the game that Kicker used to be aligned with? They could cancel that game on Christmas, but Mega Millions always... [ More ]

oh it only kust clicked in my head, the new years eve draw is a friday, they wont be doing a sat draw this week, it will be drawn fiday night instead. no sat then back to business as usual here in australia,.

Illinois has drawings everyday.

It used to be Little Lotto was Monday through Friday and Pick 3 and Pick 4 were evenings only on Sundays but now Pick 3 and 4 are Midday and Evening everyday and Little Lotto is every day of the year.

Actually, Delaware held the first Christmas Pick 3 drawing on Dec 25, 1979 (the winning numbers were 6-9-2). Strangely, it was the only time Delaware held a Christmas Pick 3 drawing. However, Delaware has held other Christmas drawings. In 1990 and then again in 1992 Delaware held Lotto drawings. (Lotto was discontinued on Jan 26, 2005.

Christmas Drawings:

Massachusetts seems to have always had Christmas drawings - looking at their website's archives, the winning number on Christmas in the year they started drawings - 1976 - was 2604, which is actually my mom's birthday!

Otherwise, the earliest numbers games drawings on Christmas in the U.S. were in 1990, in Pennsylvania (365 / 8228) and Vermont (313 / 1971).

In 1991, Ontario and Quebec started theirs.

I remember a thread from previous years when people posted their Christmas Day drawing. What states have a drawing today and what states do not
