I havent played the lottery so much before this year...it was mostly scratch-off games but I think that's going to change now. I'm gonna try playing QuickDraw a bit more often. I dont belive in spending $10-$20 on a scratch-off game I might not have any chance of winning.

My goal would be, to be able to hit the pick 3 often enough to be able to make a living at it. But I won't quit my job, because the dry spells between hits can last a long time. But it would be great to become that good at it.

I'm in Louisiana too and those seem like good goals. I play Easy 5 plus I run a lottery pool of Powerball and Lotto tickets for my coworkers. My wife and I also play Powerball and Lotto for ourselves.

I haven't tried Pick 3 or Pick 4, but would like to. I was thinking of playing them on my birthday later this month. Do you recommend playing a straight, box, straight box, or something else? I'd like to give the game a go.

I would love to match Mega Millions 5+0 (no mega number). It's (usually) a six figure win (parimutuel in Cali; I just skimmed the past couple dozen drawings and I see it as low as ~$84,000 and high as ~$900,000). Doesn't really warrant as much publicity as the whole jackpot would. It's definitely enough to get a nice apartment all to myself and have a nice financial cushion

would be nice if this year my familyu syndicate wins the $8k required to fund itself for ever more.

small goal, and hoipefully achievable. then ill just pull the interest out the bank once a month and buy tickets with it.

of course i wont complain if we win bigger say 1 or 2 mill between us, but $8k to start would be a good 2011

the last 2 times nc had a lotto most of the winning numbers were drawn from the extended time frame.... lesson learned (for me) for next time...

I've played the lottery haphazardly over the years, however I just recently got more serious, which is one of the reasons I just joined LP.

Right now, my plan for 2011 is to buy more tickets on the smaller jackpot games and less on the big ones. I am going to put less focus on PB, MM, and Lotto, and more toward Cash 5 Match Play. With a 1/175,000,000 chance of winning the MM jackpot, even 10 tickets per game is still a whopping 1/17,500,000 chance. Throw in Powerball and Lotto, and it can get... [ More ]

My goal for 2011 is to win one of the big jackpots in the Florida Lottery such as Fantasy 5, Mega Money, Lotto or Powerball. To increase my chances of winning a big jackpot I would have to eliminate Cash 3 and Play 4. So I will have the extra cash to focus on the bigger jackpots.
