I agree whether you QP or PP since it is all random, the chances should therotically be equal. But here is what I think, with QP, some times you may get set of numbers such as 1,2,3,4,5,6. Mathematically that set could very well be the winning set but chances are less compare to some other random set such as 5,13,14,23, 45. Just my gut feeling.

To maximize the chances of winning wouldn't you want to pick some numbers from lower group and some from upper group.

I like to pick my own numbers just because it's fun. However, I think I win more on QP's. As a matter of fact, my lottery pool at work won $100 on PB last night. I played $5 on numbers I picked from LP's RNG, and $5 on QP's. One of the QP's was the winner.

I won $100 on P4 in November by playing a number off LP's RNG.

I don't think it matters one way or the other.

When I play I usually do 90% my picks and 10% QP

Why?

QP will often give numbers/scenarios which have rarely been drawn or never drawn at all.

Example: The last time I played powerball, QP gave me a numbers where the lowest in the seqeunce was a 41. That was basically a waste of a chance.

In theory, all numbers and scenarios have an equal chance of happening, but I would rather take my chances with numbers that are plausible based upon the previous drawings

For me, I've had better luck with quick picks. I used to play regular numbers but I couldn't even get 1 number match. So I just buy quick picks now. I've won little prizes (free ticket, $2, $7) and I match numbers more often (even if I don't win a prize).

I don't think it makes a difference if you play quick pick or your own numbers. If it's your turn to win, then you'll just win.

Tiggs and me agree on this. I can accept the possibility that some people may be able to turn a profit on a pick 3 game by figuring out which numbers are most likely to be drawn and by knowing how to play the possibilities, but I find it exceedingly unlikely that jackpot games could be cracked in such a way. Because the low-level payouts are low compared to the odds, since the payouts are biased toward the jackpot, where the odds and pay level out, and because jackpots are extremely hard to win,... [ More ]

It's bad if, for whatever reason, you want to pick your own numbers.

The good and bad, as I see them, are conditional.
