I'm going to say there appears to be NO advantage to playing ascending or descending, or high middle and low middle straights .

Which is precisely why I no longer bother with the pick 3. I strongly urge players to consider the Pick 4

because that is where the profit is regardless of str8 or box because there is more doubles than singles and we all know what that means. DOUBLE THE PRIZE! Although, a str8 hit is not bad.

WOW! Not so hard compiling the data as much as it is sifting through it. And then you get sidetracked by the oddities. Like this:

In 5400 Drawings of the Texas Evening Pick3, the digits 2,7,9 occur 41 times.

Yellow highlights the draw number. I stopped highlighting at 913 but the draw number continues with 926, 1079, 1192, etc.

Each color represents a number in a certain order. This is color is for 9,2,7. We can see that it hit in drawing 122.

I think it should be noted that low middle and high Middle consists of 4 unique numbers which is why the percentage is higher. I have this up loaded in my spreadsheet. Each number (single) would have %16.4 chance of falling.

Went back and checked data from four states on playing ascending and descending straights.

Looking at the data below, it appears better to play the highest or lowest digit in the second position.

Ascending singles, such as 2,7,8 or 0,4,9 etc., occur 16% to 17% of the time.

Descending singles, such as 8,7,2 or 7,5,0, etc., occur about 16% to 17% of the time.

High Middles, highest number in the second position, occurs about 33% of the time.

Simply arrange it 6 different ways

If you're sure a certain single digit will return from the previous hit,

then take that digit and move it once to the left or right!

I missed this post, but there is no argument. What danyo says may be true over the short term in Ohio but here are the 18 recent draws for Georgia. Check those:

I track the positions of the first, second and third digits as separate numbers, I usually pick the 5 hottest numbers from each position and make a list, the number that appears the most will be my wheeled pick or I play it str8 and boxed most others are just boxed, I am on a budget and unless I win I only play 10 numbers.

Good question. You should get a lot of responses to this since everyone deals with it. I noticed you are in GA so I pulled out a Georgia database going back to August, 1993.

10546 draws should give us good numbers to work with. The database shows 120 triples (1.1%), 2823 doubles (26.7%), and 7603 unmatched/singles (72%). Good splits.

I'm going to use just the unmatched/singles, that is, those draws that contain 3 unique digits like 1, 0, 3 and 4, 9, 6, or 8, 7, 4, to give you some idea of... [ More ]

When I was warming my car up on Friday night I noticed the trip odometer was exactly 300 miles so I played 300 for a $1.50 straight and a $1.50 super straight.

Lucky me, 303 was drawn and I've been kicking myself all day.

Most of the time straight hits come in ascending and descending order. Also when I play I research the number and see which one is out longest. Good luck

How do you decide what order to play a straight number? Do you use the history of that number(how far back would you go), weak or strong digits, etc???? Thanks and have a good weekend.
