When I worked at the Union Plaza (now The Plaza) the Keno manager came up with an idea to increase the game's take.

Voila, Red Game, Green Game. You paid an extra $1 (or whatever you paid for the first ticket) and that also put you in action for the second drawing, the green game.

I'm thinking along those lines, not free tickets.

Let's say it started with 100,000 people. Grantd, each day most are eliminated, but those remaining have more and o re in the pot . You can't have a decent pok... [ More ]

There's about 300 million people in the US. Even if everyone played, including children, then on day 1, the number goes down to 300 thousand. Day 2, goes down to 3000 and Day 3 brings it to 300.

It's an interesting idea, and I guess if it started with a lot of people, it could be a huge jackpot. But it's also kind of strange. Maybe you buy a ticket for one drawing, and if it wins, you take it in and it exchanges it for another free ticket. Like - you only pay once, for the first draw, th... [ More ]

I'm thinking more like a multi-state or even nation wide game that would be promoted pointing out a potentially huge jackpot.

This would attract far more than 1,000 people.

Every drawing would eliminate most of the players but for those who stay in every day would be, Well I've gotten all the numbers so far, silly to quit now, here's another $1.

Just a thought.

I think you should make it like a real Survivor game. One person is given a jackpot on an uninhabited jungle island. He has to avoid family, friends and tax men who try to steal his money. The game continues until all his money is gone or he meets his demise, whichever comes first. The winner of Lotto Survivor is the one who has the most money at the end of the game.

Would like to hear Pumpi's input on this idea...

If 10% win on day one, 10% will win on day two, but that 10% will only be 1% of the original 100%. Start with 1000 people and you've probably got your winner on day 3. 10,000 means it runs until day 4.

At $1 per ticket the total ticket purchases will be $1.1111111 for every person in the pool, so $1,111 for 1000 people and $11,111 for 10,000. That means prizes of $550 and $5050 with odds of 1 in 1000 and 1 in10,000. Is there anything familair about those numbers?

You could tweak things a b... [ More ]

Not like Survivor the TV show, like Survivor contests in sports betting.

You buy a ticket, or pay a certain amount to pick a number from a range of numbers.

There is a daily one number drawing. If it's not your number, you are out until the next game.

If you have the number, you buy another ticket for the next drawing. the matrix is always a constant and the jackpot grows until hit. Each player can only buy one number (have to work on that).

Because there is a daily drawing, a number... [ More ]
