I'm still waiting for a jackpot winner to show up wearing a LP cap or/and a LP shirt. With over a 100,000 members who follow the games and play them consistently using systems, QPs, dreams and what ever else can be thought up, you would think it would have happened by now.

It's probably already happened by now...perhaps several times. I'd like to see an LP winner as well, however I don't think we ever will. Seems to me that LP members are smarter than the average Joe who buys a quickpick at... [ More ]

I play MegaMillions, PowerBall and Ohio Classic which is a 649 game.

Mathematically you are correct, which I pointed out in my post. What I was explaining was that when you pull numbers from the same pool, such as Pick 5, Pick 6, or the white balls in Powerball or Mega Millions, they are more prone to being numbers spread over a wide range. This is a natural occurence. This is the reason why even though I might buy X amount of tickets, I personally feel my odds are slightly better than what it is using just mathematics. It is that small percentage that I can't gi... [ More ]

it's fair to say that a small percentage of combinations aren't very likely to come out

In a 6/48 game, a combination such as 1 2 3 4 5 6 is in a group of 4,368 possibe combinations out of 12,271,512. That's .0035594% of the total possible combinations.

While KYFLOYD is correct in that 12,271,512 combinations are extremely unlikely to come out, some possible combinations of 6 numbers in a 6/48 game are in a group of 230,400 combinations. A combo such as 10 21 25 33 38 46 falls into that g... [ More ]

I can give you exact figures. For any given drawing, of the 12,271,512 possible combinations exactly 12,271,512 are extremely unlikely to come out. If there's any question, extremely unliklely means the chances are 1 in 12,271,512 .

PLAYING 1 LINE QUICK PICK VERSUS PLAYING 2 LINES QUICK PICK can be illustrated by the following comparisons

AN AUTOMATIC PISTOL VS. A SHOTGUN.

Yes the shotgun is the smart choice. When a shotgun is fired all those pellets that are crammed into the cartridge spread out, so it is easier to hit the target. The point is that when you PLAY 1 LINE QUICK PICK on the lottery is like using the automatic pistol you have to have a very steady hand. You might get lucky, but your chances of hitting all t... [ More ]

Mathematically speaking when you have 1 ticket(with one line), your odds are 1/x, where x is the number of possible combinations there are. So if you're playing a Pick 6/48 game, with 1 ticket, your odds are 1 / 12,271,512. However, even with 1 ticket, I would feel like my odds are slightly better given the fact that the majority of the time, the winning numbers drawn are usually spread out over a wide range and the majority of quick pick numbers also span a wide range. I'm simply not going to w... [ More ]

The lottery best kept secret=BUYING MORE THAN ONE TICKET INCREASES YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.Yeah, i know everybody knows that.OK so we agree with something.Yes i know that many have won with a SINGLE LINE QUICK PICK, but i stll believe that PLAYING 2 LINES QUICK PICK IN ONE DRAWING IS BETTER THAN PLAYING A SINGLE LINE QUICK PICK FOR THE SAME DRAWING. The real winner of the following drawing was the jackpot winner. She double her chances of winning by playing 2 lines quick pick.As you can see there... [ More ]
