Yes, I am suggesting that the Jackpot prize amount should be a part of the selection criteria.

Jackpots rarely get up this high. This can be an advantage.

There were 5 $300 million + lotteries since the last matrix change.

White Ball Numbers Selected (not counting duplicates were: 1-2-4-5-8-15-16-17-18-22-25-29-31-37-39-40-42-44-47-48-54

Most people have software to rank there numbers from most favorable to least favorable.

Are you suggesting that the jackpot prize be a criteria in the selection of future numbers?

If so, how would you determine which of those drawing results to use for those drawings with the lower jackpot amounts?

You are correct, it is interesting that there were two numbers matched between the two drawings -- I am just not sure it can be incorporated into a system. 1) Because the jackpots rarely get up that high and 2) Unable to discernable a repeatable pattern.

The Draw Results: 22-24-31-52-54 + 4

Two Numbers from the No Matching Selection = 24 54

One Number from the NDX Selection = 22

Two Numbers from the NDX and Out Selections = 31 52

Not good enough to be a system , but better than I was suspecting. Definitely needs to be revamped to include some type of selection for those numbers which fall outside the NDX and/or OUTs methods.

Try cross referencing your analysis with drawings of similar jackpot sizes.

Example: $ 300 Million +

MegaMillions Results For Friday MAR 26, 2011, $312 Million - 22 - 24 - 31 - 52 - 54 MB = 4

MegaMillions Results For Friday AUG 28, 2009, $333 Million - 01 - 17 - 31 - 37 - 54 MB = 31

I Just Noticed that neither of the above methods considers the repeats

The Repeats are those numbers selected in the last Game either as a repeat of the previous draw or had a High Out in the last Drawing

I agree; there should be a dependable way of picking 15 numbers that have at least four of the winning.

But even the standard rules (ie. not all even, not all odd, not all tens....) do not apply all the time....

As far as sharing goes; I am perfectly willing to share all my ideas and stats -- the only problem is I have not found anything that is dependable.

If anyone wants to start a thread discussing various options -- I will join in.....

Well we had all 5 numbers but as usual getting them one the same line is a real task

i tend to put too many of the DUE or OUTS together.. its always seems to be a OUT mixed with the 4 INS

My 15 numbers did not get drawn at all . (so sad)

What's sad is no one has come up with a dependable way of picking 15 numbers that have at least four of the winning numbers most of the time and shared it. I thought the participants in the Maddog challenges might do it but they use 12 numbers and the best anyone has ever done in those challenges is 4 WB+the bonus ball.

And four of the WB numbers did come from that pool of numbers

Note: Since the last matrix change, 50% of the time all 5 winning WB numbers have been drawn in one or more of the previous 23 drawings and 50% of the time the winning PB number has been drawn in one or more of the previous 31 drawings. The longest all 5 winning WB numbers have not been in a previous drawing is 14.

Seeing How no one won the MegaMillions game; I expect many people will want to play it for the next drawing.

Some interesting things occurred this past drawing...Many of the drawn numbers including the Mega Ball had an large OUT count.

The Out Count simply means how many drawings a number has not been picked.

For this current drawing -- the out counts (going into the drawing) looked like this (for drawing 3/15/2011)

Mega Ball 45 was 130 games out (meaning there have been 130 drawing... [ More ]
