Word on the street is pretty soon there will be a new ward at the Institute for the Lottery Insane just for people who hit 5 + 0 and didn't spring for the extra buck for the Megaplier or the Powerplay.

They all seem to take on this look

I agree and that's how I play it too.

That was just my take on the possible rationale behind those who choose to play it the other way.

Considering the difference betwixt the odds of hitting 5 + 1 or 5 + 0, I think I'druther thorw $2 at hitting 5 + 0 with the Megaplier than two $1 shots at 5 + 1 and no Megaplier.

I would think the players that play the multipliers would be the ones that only play a couple lines or maybe up to five.

It could be that the ones who don't are neglecting to do so because they want more coverage through more lines and therefore double their coverage by not buying the multipliers.

They might look at it as lucky that they didn't play the multipliers because they might not have had the dough for that extra Quick Pick that happened to win the $250,000.

Or not.

Illinois lists the payouts for No Megaplier and With the Megaplier.

Judging by the number of lower prizes paid for each category, it looks like more players stick to $1 and not $2.

5 + 0 is still pretty hard to hit but there's three people from this drawing that wish they'd played the extra $1!

they just dont post if the ticket had multiplier or not

they just tell you how many tickets had 5 + 0

now on the powerball they tell you which of the 5 +0 had multiplier added to them

When the winnings are posted on here, I don't see where any of the states had a 250,000 win that was multiplied.

Powerball will show if the win was multiplied though.

Does anyone know if megaplier tickets just aren't ever drawn or do they just not list it
