Off hand can't say I am familiar with the Luckman handle ( many alias' here).

Sahara final curtain was 2PM today too bad -last of the original strip greats when it was the tallest building.

Known for it's roster of great hey day stars, the Sahara was in steady decline for a number of years via economy new properties.

For some reason I'm associating the name Luckman with the GBC, too. Maybe that was a name that Schwarz also used.

I just read about the Sahara closing. Some Vegas people commented on how the last owners pretty much destoyed it. Sad.

The Sahara was the northern point of the stri, north of there was the area known as Combat Alley or the Naked City.

Just saw these posts. Sorry to heat that about the GBC, it was quite a place. If there would ever have been a museum of gambling information that would have been it.

Nota Bene:

FYI, one past owner/operator ( to remain nameless) informed me that after reading some 25 years of gaming racing material - he never found one legal methodoliogy that was actually profitable long term.

Right from the horses' mouth.....but not shocking as reality proves that insider gambling secrets are not published for the general public

I regret to inform you that the GBC, once a respository o the latest news, views best classic books, software, systems w/ great gambling guyz (Howie, Marty, Vinny, etc) as you remember it, is old sports news. Original lady owner deceased, biz changed hands ,moving out the nostalgic old downtown diggs where all the ole' timers inquirers newbies hung out together. A lot of people peddling sysgtems are just degenrate gamblers trying to make more money to go gamvble with.

Ther's a place in Las vegas called The Gambler's Book Club (at least there was, I think it's still there) tucked away on a back streey behind Charleston Blvd. Quite a cast of characters hung out there.

I would sincerely non-cyinically like to ask. why anyone would sell a system that makes free easy money instead of just living of it, unless the selling it makes more money than playing it.?

He's right, system peddlers shouyld be all over his challenge, but nary a taker. Speaks volumes.
