I might want to comment on your post. I play the Mega Millions all the time. I agree with your odds, yet there are two sides of these two games. The first side is the white balls and the second side is the bonus ball side. In the Mega Ball game, the odds of winning on the white balls, is 1 in 3,819,816. Maybe a little help from someone who plays the Mega Millions most of the time. Never would I say that I win every time!

When I began playing the 3-ball, I felt like I ALWAYS missed by one digit!

For example: on July 11, 2006, I played 104 (my birthday = 1/04) straight/box for both day and night drawings. The day draw was 091 (missed $40 by the middle digit) and the night draw was 540 (missed $40 by the first digit).

On March 20, 2007, I played 104 straight/box. The day number was 400 - I MISSED WINNING $40 TWO WAYS IN THE SAME DRAWING! This also happened on May 2, 2006, when I played 104 and they drew 414.

JP for my 5-39 is 142K so 339 wins would be $48,138,000. A PB JP would need to be at least $96,276,000 to get

the same bang for the buck. Even if playing only 5 white balls for a PB match-5 which pays $200,000 I could expect

Mega Millions is a disappointment for me every week.

I would volt PB and MM because of the odds, I don't know why anyone would even play these games.

I don't undertand why anyone would play a game where the odds are only 1 in 1000. The only way to come out ahead in the lottery is to have results that are improbable. In a game with odds of 1 in 1000 you could get lucky and have an improbable result the very first time you play, but if you continue playing you will almost certainly be in the red again in only 500 days. I vote for pick 3 that's my personal favorite, so far this year, I've only won twice, two $50 box hits (1/2 tank of gas money???). We are in the month of MAY....so I'm due for a straight hit ...really sucks when you load up on your number only to win the box and not hit it straight... and, and, and, let's not talk about being 1 digit off! Does loss of sanity count, I would volt PB and MM because of the odds, I don't know why anyone would

the same. You could play $100.00 worth of tickets for each draw and it would take you 19,142 years to

No vote for scratch offs ? Unlike numbers its very possible for a winning ticket to be on the exact same roll you are playing. I missed out on $10K by a few tickets and $45K from another roll which I bought a few tickets.

Lotto or Powerball 5 of 6 would hurt the most.

My state doesn't have P3 or P4, so I don't know about those, however I'd think with the odds being so low that it would be an easier game to win than the 5's and 6's. In any case, I think the most frustrating is our 6/42 Lotto. You can play $50 a draw consistently and just get one, two, or three 3/6's if you're lucky for a $3 to $9 win. Pick 3 and Pick 4 are the only CA Lottery games that I have spent several hundred and never won anything back from: zero, zip, zilch! I only play to maybe hit a straight once and then will never play them again.

What does bother me a little bit is seeing my numbers come up in a game I don't play, stopped playing or forgot to play.
