I would still be happy for the person winning and no way would I even consider trying to contact someone if they won. Some of those things on Lottery Changed My Life are ridiculous, like the doctor who had her brakes cut.

What? Did someone cut the doctor's brakes because she won the lottery? I've read some horror stories about what happens to lottery winners but I don't remember that one.

What I find amazing is not how little they actually get, but how quickly they can blow it. There was a woman on that show the other night that had to give half (several million) to her low life ex-husband, and he blew it all in one year! Incredible.

Yup...ain't no sense playing these games unless they are huge.I play to retire.

I saw an episode this past weekend where they won 8.7 and got 2.3.??????. in no way shape or form is it justified for 6 mil to be missing irregardless of the fakeas*ed lump sum schpeil they force folks to believe with taxes...I'll tell you what folks,,,,try going to a grocery store and rack up a $400 bill and tell them they are only gonna get $30 and walk out..it's ironic how that's considered criminal... People should be happy for winners and leave it at that. Let those people enjoy their lucky breaks.

I think I could feel a little upset if someone in the same town as me won a major jackpot, but not so much at the person(s) but at the fact that it was so close and I missed it (in the case that it was a QP). There's just too many people out there who can't simply be happy for someone else. I just can't understand why people have to harass people who happened to be lucky enough to have their numbers come up.

It really is amazing how many people feel as though they are entitled to a persons winnings after they hear about it. Or these same people feel entitled to borrow money from these winners and never have the intentions of paying it back since the person has enough money anyways .... [ More ]

tell no one. And if you're in a group where it would be nearly impossible to be anonymous, keep good records.

Definitely my thoughts on winning and groups, especially since there have been so many stories of at least one person not contributing the winning week and then suing for a share. If I were to win the only person I know for sure that I would tell is my lawyer to get a trust set up. Been watching some of these this afternoon. They had a story where a lottery group at work won, and two co-workers who didn't play sued them for a share. Fortunately the group had records of who played and who didn't and the evidence proved that these two were not regular players, and the suit was dropped.

People really do suck and while many folks will be happy for you, there are those losers who cannot handle the fact that you won and they didn't. The moral of the story: tell no one. And if... [ More ]

What amazes me is how little money the people actually wind up with! The one I was watching...the doctor lady stands there and announces I won $56,000,000 in the Florida lottery . Uh....no you didn't. After taxes it was $17,000,000! And the Publisher's Clearing House winner...they love to come up and announce.. You won a Million Dollars!
