The question(s) should be: Is nothing absolute and do you win less or more of nothing with or without the multipliers

FYI....This is the response I got from the Powerball website.....

We don t really track that. Since Power Play sells about 20% of the total sales, that would mean that 20% of jackpots won since Power Play began have been Power Play tickets.

The Power Play option does not apply to the jackpot prize.

If I'm only playing a few lines (5 or 10) I may do the 'plier, however most of the time if I am going to spend double, then I will double up on the # of lines. The extra dollar as a plier won't increase your chance of winning the JP, but doubling up on your coverage will.

Thanks Ridge; that make sense to play the extra dollar you could go from $200,000/$250,000 to $1million..........I don't think DH would ever fogive me if I didn't multiply...LOL....

I'm sure there has been dallas, but it only applies to increase the lower tier prizes, not jackpots.

I always play the multipliers just to make sure if I get the first 5 numbers without the bonus ball that I will get a million instead of $200,000.

And it's helped a lot when I get smaller wins by multiplying them.

OK, so I was in the store on my lunch and the clerk was telling the person in front of me to Mega Ply because you have a better chance of winning the Jackpot the group in New York Megaplied. So the person turned around and looked at me and I said do what you think is best for your group. So he ending up playing straight his theory was more tickets better the chance.

So my question to you all is........has there ever been a Jackpot winners that power-played/megaplied
