Ohio's Cash 5 has a joackpot of $425,000?

The TxCash 5 hardly ever pays more than about $20,000:

You guys got me thinking about buying a few Ohio Rolling Cash5 tickets for the Sunday drawing. It's a 5/39 game that pays $1 for a 2of5 match and its jackpot is at $425K.

TX Cash 5 sucked. I like Georgia Fantasy 5 and Florida. Those roll over, FL has better odds 5/36.

Maybe people should quit playing the TxLotto and the TxCash5 so they can Go Away having the other better games is enough and or they can replace those two games with just one new-one.

To replace those 2 games maybe a regular no bonus ball 6/49 game should be made.

So long as people buy tickets and they (The state lottery) makes a profit, they probably don't care much for what people want or not.

Keep in mind that when TX Cash 5 was 5/39 two and four days a week the jackpot rolled over.

When the TX Cash 5 changed to 5/37, started the 2/5 payout, and went to six days a week the jackpot was significantly reduced and no longer rolled over.

I quit playing Cash 5 because the odds are way out of line for the jackpot amount. If they would get rid of the $2 payout for 2/5, that would shift more $ for the jackpot, but like you said, they don't even talk about changing anything in the meetings, and like you, I read the minutes of the meetings also.

Eventually we will see the Cash 5 just go away. I really hope they would replace it with a game like PA's Quinto. The odds are 100,000 to 1 for $50,000.

We shall see.

To find the answer you seek, go to the Texas Lottery website.

On home page, go to bottom of the file and click on Site Map.

Go to the agenda minutes file. There are several years of commission meetings.

You can read them all, or just browse agenda items at top of the files for Cash 5.

This is not official, but, conjecture says a former chairman, particularly one that was behind just about all the game changes since 1992, wanted to increase profits.

Why is texas cash 5 jackpot so low? By comparison, Florida's Fantasy 5 is easier to win, yet the jackpot is about 10x greater. Specific breakdown:

Florida Fantasy 5: 5/36 matrix 376,992 odds top prize range 180-270 thousand $ (depending on day of week)

Texas Cash 5: 5/37 matrix, 435,897 odd top prize range: 20-24 thousand $. I am confused; In a game of pick 5, I thought the harder it is to win, the higher the prize.
