tiggs loves it when ridgey get's on his soap box..tiggs could of used a 5th at 3am this morning..Unbelivable pain in tiggs left big toe..Foot Dr last time wanted tiggs to take some meds for it butt oh no not tiggs,tiggs is to smart for that..Well he's gonna get some this morning and hope they work cause the pain is killing him!!!..If the meds don't work tiggs is heading for Tenn!!!!..

I used to take the fifth years ago.

Now it's the 1.75 Liter. I hate that liter crap. What the hell's wrong with quarts and half gallons and gallons?

Course, a fifth was actually 4/5 of a quart so that didn't make a whole lotta sense either. I mean like, what the hell was the point?

ha ha....well it depends on the state. You can't even sell/buy sex toys or gamble in Alabama. That's why I drive to Florida

BUT, if you were to buy a vibrational mechanism for educational or novelty purposes that would be ok. If you are on an indian reservation owned by the federal government you may gamble.

I sort of agree with CashWinner on relocation ... I would not change my name, but sure would relocate .... if you hit the jackpot, you can live wherever you want.

Of course I would stay within Europe.

During the winter I would live south in Italy or Greece, during the summer I would live in Sweeden.

So instead of changing my name I would ensure a good 19-23 Celsius atmoshphere for myself

And you know what ... I would keep my good old Skoda Octavia as well ... I think the best thing

Hmm, I guess it varies by states then. I know in some states what she did would be illegal, so the state would not grant her request. And yea, I suppose moving to another place for a short time then changing your name could work, hadn't thought of that.

I'd still not change my name though, since I would claim via a trust. If I couldn't do that though then I would look into changing my name, since it's not too common of a name and I think only 3-5 people have it in the US, unlike some friends... [ More ]

I live in a decent enough town that it hopefully won't resort to that. I would only feel the need to change my name and bail out if the jackpot I won was super high and caused me to get a lot of unintended media attention. Luckily I live in a state that allows me to be anonymous. May that never change.

I live in Hungary, Europe and here the Winner's identity is kept secret. Indeed, there is a phone number which you call and only 2 people at the lottery company would know who the actual winner was. Of course you have to list the winning on your tax document but that is confidential too.

I guess freedom has left America.

Absatutely. i've been happily unmarried to the same man for 11 years. I would claim the winnings in my name, marry him to change my last name and move to a different part of the country. There's no way on God's green earth I could stay in my neighborhood even after winning 1 million. Fewer and fewer people read it everyday so there'd be a lot less exposure than there used to be.

Only problem is the base of readers is overwhelmingly liberal.

When you win you'll have plenty of money to rent a cheap apartment in another state and get your name changed there where nobody reading those notices in the paper knows you.

You have to print your name change in the paper, so chances are someone will see that and you're cover will be blown, plus you wouldn't be able to change it again.

Me? I'll collect via a trust so those who do find out that I'm the winner will be very few and far between simply because most of those wanting a lottery players winnings don't want to work too hard to do so.

I think it's something that everyone should consider and be prepared to institute should the need arise.

For that reason I have already chosen a name just so I'm prepared. It's unremarkable and nondescript so as to not attract attention.
