What do you propose the retailers be paid for selling 25 PB ticket? They now get 5-6 to sell a dollar ticket. There come a point where if people are so poor they can't afford a dollar lottery ticket, they shouldn't play.

Just the same way a: $1 dollar ticket Powerball reaches: $300 Million every 3 or 4 months, the 25 cents Powerball should reach: $75 Million dollars every 3 or 4 months...Thats the same amount that Italy Superena Lotto reaches sometimes...I think the Biggest jackpot it reached was: $125 Million dollars or $110 Million so i read or something like that...

California Super Lotto Plus can exist and a 25 cents Powerball can not...CA super lotto plus dont even reach $75 Million....

The flaw in your logic is you think people will walk into a store and say '.25 on #14 for the win' and that's all, but in reality people would walk in and play a .25 game 8-12-16+ times.

You also fail to specify what a .25 'win' would bring: maybe $1. Yeah, that'll go far in today's world.

Amd I'm STILL trying to figure out what drugs you are on..

I thought most poor people just grabbed from the free food stamp and welfare handout bag anyway, which pretty much funds their lottery and cigarrette addiction nonetheless.

Even this rise to the $2 powerball probably wont make them flinch.

I'm sure if Captain Ding Dong gets a second term we'll be buying their share of $2 lottery tickets for them too.

Until, of course, the whole house of cards collapses like Greece has and we have civil unrest and riots in the streets like they are now over there.

Eventually you run out of other people's money to give to the ones who don't want to work.

And that's when they really go berserk.

As lottery tickets get more expensive and games like PowerBall start charging $2 a line, poor folks will just have to decide whether to buy lottery tickets or a $5 per pack cigarettes and six packs with their entertainment dollars especially if they are having a hard time making ends meet.

Reminds me of the cons against creating a lottery when the initiatives where placed on the state ballets. They said poor people would spend their last dollar gambling on the lottery instead of buying food. The 50 cent tickets were a compromise and I doubt we'll ever see quarter tickets. Many lotto games started out as 50 cents a line but they evolved to a buck and now PB is going to 2 bucks a ticket.

The trend seems to be for higher priced tickets.
