Just because someone has come into a lot of money does not entitle people to just ask that person for money. If I were to win and someone asked me for a loan or grant, I would ask that person if they have asked Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, or President Obama for said loan or grant. Regardless of the answer, I would say NO.

I knew someone who hit the jackpot personally and i never asked him for a dime. I did ask him how he did it though and he told me he heard that the number 11 was a magic number and he played 11, 22, 33 etc.

I would never ask a jackpot winner for $$$ and despise the people that do. Just because someone wins alot of money, what makes people think they have the right to ask for some? I've always thought that if someone wants to donate, or help someone else out in need, then they will do it. Leave ot at that

If they had previously owed me money for whatever reason, then yes. But I get the feeling you're talking about a handout, in which case... NO!!

There's absolutely no reason to ask and definitely no reason they should feel obligated to win. I've never understood why people call/write winners asking them to pay their bills, I don't go to my neighbors house asking them to buy my groceries every few weeks or stop by the car lot randomly asking if they will give me a free car.

I made a lot of enemies in my life. Don't know anyone who likes me enough to give me money.

Now if I won the lottery and I was being interviewed as to what I plan to do with my money, I would say that I already know which charities I'm donating to and I'm staying tight-lipped about it. Never say that you're not sure even if it's true or otherwise more people will take advantage of your uncertainty and come knocking at your door.
