Stores cash them in and throw them away(except ones that require a claim-I think). I do know they throw all small winners away. We have self serve stations in PA and you scan them and throw them away next to the machine. I think 99% if not all PA stores have the self check thing and I love it. I will take 30 or so crossword/bingo tickets I didnt feel like scratching. I would hate to hand them all to a store worker.

Or is it okay to put in the corner the amt of money I should be winning for each winning ticket despite having the Scratch2Cash scan? I've been ripped off a couple of times by retailers giving me less than I actually won and it pisses me off.
