I am from a Caribbean island and I work for the Lotteries Authority here so we are trying derive a game, a quick cash game from a local card game we have here. This local game is illegal and is mainly played in back Alleys.

When the Plaza in Vegas was the Union Plaza they had converted the Big Six (tourists call it The Wheel of Fortune) symbols to a deck of playing cards, thius 52 stops.

You could bet on any individual card (specific suit and card) and it paid 40:1. Players loved it.

The odds against your card hitting were 1 in 52, expressed as 51:1, or 51 to 1 as one of them had to hit.

As for a lotto Pick 1, I'm not sure a $40 or even $51 payoff would thrill a lottery player.

I woiuld like some help calculating the mathematics behind a new game I have in mind its a pick one (1) out of ffity-two (52) game. I would like to know what would be the probabilities. I will be glad to share more information if someone can help.
