JKING

The total vote is far less than the membership of LP, a very small percent of people took the time

to vote. I also don't think the prediction boards show us anything. We don't know how they are

picking numbers they post. IMHO, no one with a winning method is going to post on the prediction

board for reasons that should be clear to all. I look at the prediction board as I would Mad-dogs

challenge, just sort of a bragging rights contest.

Spot9

Given this information one might create a similar algorithm but I doubt it would be exact.

One problem I have found in back-testing stuff like this is that one needs to remove the

set being tested from the analysis. Back many years ago I wrote a prediction algorithm and

designed it so that the set under test was not to be included in the analysis.

I ran the program and started getting some very nice hits and even had a few 5-of-5 hits

in around 30 games. So many of these systems and theories are amazing, in the fact that everyone has a different way to apply MATH and their own trials and errors to predicting lottery outcomes. Let me put forth another opinion which as always I state is my own and is based on real world experience in the Gaming Industry going back to roughly 1990.

I believe a lot of

I lived and worked in Vegas a short stay (27 months) and with the slot return payback which (you are correct) stated over some of the slot banks normally falls in the 88%-95% range but with the understanding (part no ones knows or understands or wants to hear) is that a huge chuck of that % comes out in the Jackpot or larger payouts, the payback would be over say 100,000 to 1,000,... [ More ]

The great thing about the mega jackpots is nobody can understand the odds. Yet people still play the number. Those odds are easy to figure. It is unlikely that the odds on the mega lotteries are better.

A fair bet returns money in the same proportion as the odds of winning. If you match coins, each of you have a 50:50 chance of winning. Winner gets 2, loser gets 0.

So if the number were fair, there are 1,000 combinations, so it should pay the winner $1,000. In the end they get it all just like a casino, the lottery is a tax on the poor, when you bet you are tax and when win you are taxed again.
