Update..... I read today on Illinois lottery facebook page. They are indeed have trouble with the peoples verifications who enter via the Illinois lottery website.... That is the hold up.... In event the situation like what is occurring. Alternates were drawing at the date of the draw...

What is going on with this second chance drawing? No news whatsoever, I really hope the people they are calling lost their tickets :) Then they would have to go on to the next name and so on. It sounds like that is what's going on here or names would have been posted already you know

Still no winners listed on their website! I e-mailed them and will let you guys know what they say. Hopefully, this means that they are having trouble getting verifications from people and they will have to draw again. Because when you enter them online you have to keep the ticket. I bet some people threw them out because they didn't read the rules

I think the reason for the delay from the August 4th drawing to the August 8th announcement date is because they have to verify all your information and the winner has to prove that they are in posession of the ticket. Don't throw out any of your tickets that you entered online because you need them for verification if you win.

Cool dude, just saw this on the posted rules on their website:

- After each drawing, all entries included in that drawing will not carry over to each succeeding Hollywood Trip Grand Prize Tripdrawing. However, any non winning tickets will be carried over to the Multi-State Second Chance $1 Million Bonus Drawing, where 9 winners will be drawn after these first 3 drawings are completed!

Man this is confusing :)

Illinois lotteryman... I was just looking on the website. The drawing is on august the 4th... But they are not announcing the winners till or on about August the 8th.. I have a few tickets here that I am holding back till after this 1st drawing.. Cause I was wondering if all the tickets I have enter rollover to the next draw if they don't win..

Cool dude, also do you think it's best to withhold some tickets for the third drawing or do they retain your tickets entered for the first drawing to the rest of the drawings if you don't win this Thursday?

I'm trying to see if I should save most of them for the last drawing like we talked about, which is the third one, since the last last drawing not for the trip. If they don't keep rolling over to the next drawing then I should hold onto some but if they keep your entries from the first... [ More ]

Also, do you look at the amount of remaning instant prizes off the Illinois Lottery website and try to play the games that have the most prizes still available? That's what I try to do.

Ok cool dude, I bought 4 more WOF tix today and only cashed $5 on one of them. The rest of them (3) will go into the second chance drawing which I believe brings me up to 28 chances.

Hey cook dude, I am only entering them online you? I like to see that the are posted right away. I don't trust the mail. Before I entered the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks drawings in the mail and never won anything.

In regards to the 3rd drawing being the best one to enter because there will be less tickets, upon further examination and a closer look of the rules, it states that they can supply more of these WOF tickets even if most of the prizes are claimed, sneaky, very sneaky IL Lottery

I found some just laying on the ground walking towards the new casino in Des Plaines. I can't beleive people just discard them. Even at the Taste of Chicago this year, I was in line waiting to spin the Lottery wheel (you had to buy $10 worth of instant tickets to spin it) and there was one gentleman in front of me scratching off a WOF ticket, he didn't win just threw it on the ground. I am thinking maybe the 3rd drawing would be the better chance ... Because I think by next year Illinois will have started to phase out these tickets and they may be harder to fine... But then again I have pulled a bunch of tickets out the loser bins ... but guess we will have to wait and see what happens...
