In years past we could afford to raise the debt ceiling. Now we are standing on the edge of a financial cliff. To raise the debt ceiling would be tantamount to jumping off and committing suicide.

We need more taxpayers; not tax revenue.

I say we tax the lottery. Oh, wait...

They'll probably do it.

But it won't affect the coming down grade in our Triple A credit rating.

The credit rating agencies said the only plan that would preserve our high rating was the Cut, Cap and Balance Bill and the slimy democrat weasel, harry reid, won't even let anybody vote on it. He said no and that's that.

So get ready for Jimmy Carter era interest rates again.
