Wow, didn't match any Powerball Red #, unbelievable! Ch. 9 WGN in Chicago didn't even have the drawing on. It was 10:00 p.m. and the Cubs game just ended, they could have showed it, but decided to tape delay til it later, thanks WGN!

Thanks for the replies guys. Well, I decided to go with a majority of the numbers in the middle groups, but also took a few from Group 1 and Group 2 too. Here are the red balls that I decided to bet on and if they are listed twice that means I bought two lines for each of those red balls! Hopefully my strategy pays off, I am going with the hot numbers, and especially for the white balls I used a lot of the balls that came up multiple times in the past couple of months. Where did you get your information?

When I checked the last 270 drawings since the most recent matrix changed to 5/59+1/39, PB from the previous drawing hit 11 times, PB from 2 drawings back had hit 8 times, PB from 3 and 10 drawings back hit 7 times each, PB from 4 and 9 drawings back hit six times each, PB from 2, 5 and 8 drawings back hit 5 times each and PB from 6 drawings back hit 4 times. That's 64 of 270 or 24% of PB that repeated within 10 drawings.

For PB, you can eliminate the previous 10 PB draws they don't show up that much. So you have reduced to 29 PB left to select from.

It seems the practical way to go in its implementation.

except it would be difficult to maintain a solid (fixed) control group with a reasonable cost and a regular payout.

Which still leaves much of it to chance...

So it's a bit limited in its premise ... the potential for its use is more likely to be effective with smaller wins than outright approaching the jackpot.

Ok, here are some of the thoughts I have based on the results I culled from the last 50 Powerball drawings from the USA Mega website:

I wanted to see how many red Powerball numbers were picked by group. I split the numbers into 4 groups (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, and 30-39). Lets call them Group 1 (1-9), Group 2 (10-19) and so on. Ask and you shall receive, the USA Mega website that was referred to in one of the LottoPost articles that was posted has a great search that shows the Powerball Statistics for the past few years! Wow, thank you to USA Mega for doing this! This is what I have been looking for. Here are the most picked red numbers since Jan. 27, 2009:

Well, I had the winning red PB number 6 because I played it for my birthday. I also had the multiplier so I won $9, no matching white balls. But I think all in total I spent $25 on PB tickets so I came out a loser. Still trying to define my strategy for this coming Wed. I am going to try to do a list of the percentage of drawn Red Powerball Numbers this past year and post under a new topic.

Well, to me it seems that the red PB's usually fall in the 30's. Has anyone done a chart or percentage on the winning PB#s this year? I'm a hot number player so I like to go with the hot numbers. If it looks like the lower numbers are falling I would change my strategy and maybe go with 10-19...

You may as well pick each powerball there is and opt for powerplay, so you know you will at least win $6.00 but you're gonna spend $78. Sometimes I play powerballs 1-10 and play them 5 times each with powerplay, QP the white balls and then if 1-10 hits I get the the PB 5 times with PP and 5 chances to win more with the white balls falling with the PB.

Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone ever tried a strategy like this:

Pick 10 numbers in a row to use for the Red ball, i.e. 30-39, while also utitlizing the PowerPlay and then picking the hot numbers for the regular white balls. This way you have a 1 in 4 chance of at least matching one of the red balls and you may get luck and get a 4x multiplier. Then of course the white balls come in to play and could help boost your winnings even greater.
