I run a pool at work as well. If I won, I'd find a way to claim as anonymously as possible, then wait a few months, until after the excitement dies down, to quit my job.

As to whether or not I would still post here, I'd probably check in from time to time like I do now.

We have a member here who hd a dream about winning Mega Millions. He hasn't posted for a while but did put quite a few posts up about how the dream has about driven him crazy and all the $$$ he has spent playing the numbers he dreamed of.

I would, because not that much would change in my life, sure I would drive a new car, move a few miles away to another neighborhood but I already live in one of the best areas in the world and I did my travelling earlier in life. I enjoy the internet and all the interaction. If I win big the most happiest folks will be my grand kids after I'm gone.. At my age there truly is no place like home .

I would quit my job in a heartbeat. I run a pool at work, and I know that most of my co-workers would treat and feel quite different about me, and not in a good way.

As far as people who win quiting their jobs, many people are in jobs they don't like.

Sure so what if I won the Powerball or other type of big millions lottery ticket. I'd still come here and post and say hi and whatever else.

Also what is it with people just quitting their jobs just because they win the lottery? Being rich and lazy bums may be cool at first but wouldnt you miss going to work and seeing your co workers that you get along with
