i have an idea whatever money you do have since you can't buy envelopes in LA and don't own a wallet since it makes your butt look big. take whatever money you have and go during lunchtime to downtown los angeles, put the money on the ground and start yelling free money that will solve your problems.

i love this budget. i have one but not as precise. i have to buy my megamillion and powerball tickets for 1X though. I have in the past bought powerball tickets for 2 draws and I can't tell you how many times without thinking thrown away the ticket.

the good thing is i will never know whether i was a winner or not because i usually get QP s so its not numbers that i remember or have meaning.

I think we are all big loosers. I have been playing lotteries for more than 20 years. I only play terminal lotteries, no scratch off, no casino, no videopoker. I don't have a specific budget. I play QP and SP , sometimes a mix of both, some time multiple draws. I can tell you I lost a lot of Money. Then buy one, lol or use your wallet but put the money in a separate compartment. Most envelopes, even the cheap ones, have at least two compartments. Use one compartment for lottery spending and use the other one for all other expenses.

$15 a wk. for me

$7 for a wk of jc5.

$2 a wk for pic 6.

$4 a wk for mm w/mp.

$2 a wk for mm w/o mp.(wife only wants the JP)

on tues. i bought 4x jc5 1x pic6 cause i had a $5 tip from work.

Candido from Mass. showed that all you have to do is keep your foot in the door with one ticket.

He also showed that waiting for the JP to hit a certain level could deny you millions.

He bought one single QP that had some weird-ass numbers and came away with a 30 some million dollar win.

i like the spreadsheet idea. this whole idea came to me when the other day i heard a lady saying about how broke she was and wasn't going to be able to pay her rent when i had seen her not too long before buy about 10 $20 scratch offs and I think the most she won was a free ticket and i don't think anything else.

I think the best way to control your spending is to set aside a fix amount of money you are willing to lose each month. Set a budget. If your budget is 100 dollars per month, put one hundred dollars in an envelope. Put any money you win inside the envelope. Only spend money from that envelope to buy lottery tickets. I agree, a lot of people are in denial. I see post of people winning this and that but they never divulge in what they spend vs what they win, profit after expenses or losses after winners. some players also consider $10 on a $10 scratcher winning, lol. it would very enlightening if players started with say $5000 on Jan. 1st and see how much they would have by the end of the year ( without spending the winners). I've come to the conclusion I'm not a lucky person when it comes to lottery. There are people are there who spend quite a bit of money and win some also.

I spend on average about $12 a day with various games in the GA Lottery my favorite being Keno where its so easy to go through $20 in a matter of minutes.
