I am pretty sure they do lots every so often.

But that seems to be for the bigger games that stick around longer, such as the Jumbo Bucks and Big Money Maker. I have noticed the prize amounts on these games go up after coming down.

However you will notice games that go through the entire run of actual ticket numbers (the middle number on the back of the card), then they will start a new number for that game.

I just caught wind of this website a few days ago and very interested in hearing from other players in Tennessee. I wouldn't consider myself a big gambler but love playing scratch offs from time to time. I have even purchased a roll just last month with a 60 percent return, seems to be the norm. Anything over 600 is taxed.

Yeah I've been saving and documenting all loser tix for that purpose. I'm not sure if it will totally offset the taxes but I hope so!

What tax hit are you talking about ?? On $1,000 it can't be more than a hundred or two. Depends on how you file. 1040 etc. Don't you save losers or pick them up to equal the $1k ? Then you pay zero tax - losers offset wins ...... check it out. And GREAT job getting that nice win

I have entered tickets for every Play It Again game this time around except Cash Blowout. I have a drawer full of old losers but I didn't see the Cash Blowout in there. The lucky winners who are drawn will have a very special Christmas.

TNLOTTO, im dreading having to enter all these tickets into the system. I find a handful everyday at the various stations ... i went to throw some trash away today and glanced into an entire can full of scratched lottery tickets .... makes it hard not to become a dixie dumpster diver .... lol

scratched a $30 winner on the $5 jumbos on a drive by yesterday ... pretty sweet. Theres seems to be a theory im starting to notice works for me ... and that's the totally random ticket pull no more than once a day. On my way home from knoxville, every other day ... i'll stop and get one. I have ALL the stomach for playing $10 and $20 games!What I do not have, though, is the bankroll for it :(I had really hoped the $10 Jumbo would be loaded with prizes like Jr, Giant, and Jumbo, but it does not appear to be.Also sad that the Jingle Jumbo Bucks will not be returning this Christmas season. hi theotherone ... that theory is total speculation on my part ... i have noticed it on the $5 jumbos ... but of course other games have more/less serial numbers and winning numbers .... but im with you ... i think its totally random ...

i also agree on the books ... if the odds are 3.27 there should be a hot book every 4th book or so ... but that theory is shot down by the fact that a game that claims 1 in 3.27 and then spits out 10 straight losers, one winner, then 10 more losers ....

Nice breakdown of the details, Tarheel. It's two bad about your first roll, but as for the 2nd one here honestly I am quite surprised and if it were me I would be (kind of)pleased. To only lose $93 collectively? Not too shabby.

I have always heard you would always make back at least $180 on a $300 roll. I think that applies more to other states than to TN. Not as many people play here.

When you actually had to mail in the play it again tickets with a stamp and everything I won t-shirts and second place packages of memorablia for deal or no deal and the world series of poker. Now that it is based on the computer entries I havent won anything. I enter alot more tickets now that I dont need stamps and a trip to the post office but still no wins in years.

I tend to do best if I only buy a single ticket from a roll - I scatter a $5 on 2 or 3 tickets. Have not had any large winners this way, but tend to be able to break even or better.

Seems not so many care for them, but I like the $3 tickets. Odds are closer to the $5 tickets - odds in general suck.

TN isn't clear in winning ticket odds - sure they include the free tickets in those odds, know what I mean?

I accutely profer NC lottery over TN lottery..I live right on the border of NC and VA I try to play more in those states rather than TN

I have hit better in those states espically where i live in Tn We hardly ever see and big winners up this way, we find 100s and a few 500s every once in a while but not like we do in NC or VA.

But it is easier for me to play in Tn because I dont have to waste the gas to go to another state to just play the lottery

hey PATTYH ... you'll be tickeld to know that ruby red 7's in tennesse are 1 in 3.30 and the same exact game in nc has the odds set at 1 in 3.93 ... both similar games, however in nc the top prize is only 70k ... in tennessee the top prize is 77,777, as you well know. BUT, there are only 2 top prizes remaining ... in both states. It concerns me when the top prizes get low in quantity. HELLO TARHEEL1, I have scratched on jumbos and won nothing. i don t play those, I like the ruby 7 s right now. no big wins. glad to hear you got a big ticket, thats great!!!!! i wantedt to also mention parking lot losers ... tickets people throw out the window at the gas station. I have started collecting these, and have picked up probably 30-40 in the last few weeks. 99% of them are eligible to be entered into play it again for a jackpot drawing. If you truely want to play on the house, with zero investment, this is the way to play. New $10 Jumbo Bucks! I'm excited!! I'm always hesistant to buy larger priced tickets because I only buy one when I do. I figured that's not a good strategy to win. I have found that the best tickets seem to be the jumbos, I try and only play those

I have tried all the new tickets but one yesterday, I have not found anyone selling the jumbo jumbo bucks yet

Some days i do really good on scratch offs but other days i do horrible

First off congrats on your win!

Sounds like you are sticking with my favorite, Giant Jumbo Bucks.

When I plop down $5 for that game, I like to think of it as a 'pass line bet' in craps...or maybe a $5 blackjack bet. Obviously we live too far from Tunica or Vegas to bet on a regular basis, so a 5-spot on a possible $150,000 win has to suffice in the mean time.
