as a matter of fact

i wouldn't be surprised if 6 10 11 hits again...

the 13 is riding high on the double bottom...not a favorable sign...only two times in history has the pattern gone from TR at 3 days to a 4 day skip... (for number 13)

the 11 is hitting downhill...much more favorable pattern....

Nobody plays Take5 to get rich. I have a relative that won a small T5 JP (it was a total of 68K split by 5 winners) but he did something nice with his share. I was there to see it and take part in it.

Playing the lottery can wear you down. I'm like evrybody else, I get tired of losing all the time. Regarding the promotion...a part of me hates it because i think you should just be able to by 5 and get 1.

The other half says yes 6 qp are better than none...because you have to play two sets of numbers...

one for today and one for tommorrow...in essence two wheels with the best chance of overlap...

this fact is causing my mind to stretch a little...

NYL doesnt publish much, and I've never seen sales numbers for any game made public. That said, they'll tell you, if you ask them. If you send them an e-mail from the NYL website, they'll answer it.

I was thinking we would have seen larger dollar amounts for JP's, and they'd be split among a larger number of winners due to the promo. Yeah, I noticed that too. I was wondering if we broke Take 5!

It's especially strange considering they've got a T5 ticket promotion this month. You'd think the extra sales to get over the $10 hump plus the 3 free QPs would add more coverage. Maybe everyone splashed out in the beginning of the month and didn't bother buying more tickets as the month went on. Does NYL publish sales numbers anywhere?

Just for spite and to prove me wrong, and probably because you agreed with me too, Take5 produced one winner for 88 grand last nite! However, I was partially correct! The ticket was sold on Long Island in Nassau County!!

As for very few SM JP winner's, it's a coverage problem. They only sell 8% of the total 3,838,383 possible combinations. That means only 8% are covered while 92% are uncovered . I'm sure that's due the fact the lower tier prizes stink and the JP doesnt rollover. And you'll on... [ More ]

I've seen that too. But how did that get QP/FP get there?

My guess is that it's not a computer program inputting either the QP or FP. I'm thinking it could be a person doing it. If it is a person, and if he/she didnt do it, then it would appear as if they were all player picks when they weren't.

It's kind of second nature for me not to believe everything I see/read on The Web. That's due to the fact I worked in data processing for more than 30 years. (and I'm still doing it too!) Computer... [ More ]

Seems like too many winners for there not to be any QP's. The person who won with 5 lines had to be a player pick, but some of the others could have been QP's. Whoever at The NYS Lottery that listed the winners on the website may have forgot to add the fact that the line was a QP. Could have been a human error/oversight is all I'm sayin.

Well Brat, while I agree with you that a Take5 jackpot being split among multiple players stinks, you might as well resign yourself to the fact that chances are very good that will happen if you are fortunate enough to win a JP.

Whenever I'm in or around NYC I buy a ticket or two. It hasn't done me any good, but I always think that maybe being part of that sales pool might help.

Remember too that NYC sees thousands of people every day that commute to their jobs in Manhattan (New York County) from New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange Counties. Below is a list of the 25 most populated counties in NY. You can see why so many of the winners come from Kings and Queens counties. The 4 counties around the capital region where I am do not even add up to a 1/3 of the population of Kings county.

I havent seen a winner in Albany County in long time, or I missed it when scanning through the results.

The other county you'll see that produces a fair amount of winners is Erie. ie Buffalo.

I would guess that a large percentage of that remaining 30% living in NY State other than in NYC is in Erie County.

It's all about where the most tickets are sold, which is obviously where the most people live. I get a kick out of LP posters that complain about many PB and MM wins comming from NY. It's not because I got eight lousy QP lines. I did some player pix, and also some partial QP's. Maybe it's because I havent won any cash for quite a while. I was averaging one line with 3 numbers in it per month, but I cant remember the last time I won with 3 numbers.

I've read that people tend to play the lottery more during economic downturns.

Maybe that's true, but I sure dont see that with Take5 jackpots.

A big JP these days (total payout) is $76,000. Even on Friday's, a day when the JP is always higher , the total pay out is aproximately 80,000.
