It all depends on the matrix size. A game like West Virginia's Cash25 with a 6/25 matrix probably has its jackpot won several times a year and yet Ohio's Classic Lotto with a 6/49 matrix has gone well over a year without a winner in spite of Ohio being a larger state with a lot more players. But then jackpot size varies according to the matrix size, Ohio's jackpot in now at almost $45,000,000.00 while West Virginia's jackpot is $25,000.00.

Just average the number of tickets sold by the odds of somebody winning = somebody is going to win.

With tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of tickets purchased, someone is going to win. That doesn't mean that the winner poccess something special. It's just statistics. It's like if you give one coin for each 100 million people, at least one of them would hit head 20 times in a row.

Can not believe how in the world you will be able to match 6 jackpot winning numbers. On most days, you are lucky to match 2 numbers, it is very rare to match 3 numbers. So how does it happen when someone is able to match 6 numbers!! I know it happens, just can't imagine how in the world it can happen. Right now it just seems quite a stretch to match 6 numbers.
