All who participated are too embarrassed to say, and all are embittered: to say the least! The results of your embodiment are somewhat related to the Fortune Cookie Fiasco, which occurred sometime ago, where all the Jackpots received were meager too.

Oh, too bad Dan. Of the 116,530 members now on LP quite a number of them took your idea in the OP and played the most mentioned numbers in one of the non-publicized Mystery Lottos .

Of course the jackpot was split a lot of ways, an awful lot of ways, so much so that noboady got to retire or buy a dream house or car or any such thing, but a good time was had by all.

I'm no detective but I've made a couple of observations here.

1. The Dragon Lady frowns on people conspiring on ways to defeat the lottery.

2. DanMarsh asked this question 5 days ago and hasn't been back since.

If this is for a 3 or 4 digit game, all you have yo do is...

Go to predictions

click predictions home page

go to right of screen and choose your state

click on prediction tools

choose deflate or inspect for midday or evening

you'll see everything you want and more.

A very interesting concept. I am assuming by greatest number of people you mean the numbers with the highest frequency.

May I suggest you compile all the submissions? Aabout an hour before the draw, you could publish the numbers along with their frequency? You could do this along the lines of Maddog's challenge.

Your approach is a little curious though. Considering the number of people on this board, and lurkers, just how many ways do you think such a set of winning numbers would be split? Of course not everyone would play them, but probably enough to take such a jackpot way, way down once it's divvied up.

First of all, what game is this for? If it's for P-3 then I'd recommend no more than 1 combo per person. I only say this because there may be too many combos If everyone posts 20 combos for example. How about 5 combos each

Hi All- What do you think about the idea of harnessing the Wisdom of the Crowd (i.e. all the great folks at LP) to help pick the winning numbers for a game? The idea is to have everyone submit their picks and then we pick the numbers that the greatest number of people submit
