because the one thing I hate more than tree huggers is the looks people give to wealthy people driving around in Hummer

why they're driving a piece of crap for an appearance of saving the environment

the fact is humans put out less carbon dioxide than the whole ocean produces

and also the earth was a lot warmer in the dark ages then it is right now

it's completely an natural cycle of ice ages and warming

Got mine, its a Ferrari 355 SpyderYellow/Black but the 50 K mile service is what Kills Ya. Every 50 K U gotta drop the engine for a complete service which runs about 5-6 grand.

My dream car would be totally boring. I'd buy a subscription to Consumer Reports and research the mid-range SUVs. Whatever's at the top of the list for safety and reliability, I'd go test drive. Not very green, I know, but if I won enough, I'd definitely build a house with radiant heating floors and solar panels for electricity.

I dunno. I've seen some guys driving that thing. Personally, I wouldn't drive a Tesla because it's not designed for long-range drive. And the maintainance would be a big hassle.

I'd prefer a Prius C Concept and a Honda CR-Z. (yeah, I hate luxury cars. One big reason is the roadside debris.) Strangely, not a whole lot of info on C Concept is available although it will be released in the stateside next year.

Cost to run a NASCAR operation: 15-25 million (Some as high as 30 million). Obviously, much less if you have a sponsor.

Cost to run a full-time (23 event) top fuel operation: 3-6 million.

They do attract attention Karinda . Even after having 2 of them , i still look at them as they go past me or I go past them . Usually them passing me though . A lot of people take pictures when you run into a store also . You come out and people are snapping pictures with the cell phones . Silver is nice also . Black is hard to keep clean , also Metalic navy blue ( my older one ) . You should ask your cousin to let you take a spin in it . You may end up buying one .

Maybe they need to be sure that people can actually drive first. The car was practically a brand new trade-in at a high-end dealership. There weren't anymore vettes for the man to buy, at least not there. But kidding aside, that was one stand-up guy if you ask me. He still bought the car! That was very decent of him. Blackie, The only thing that I don't like about your car is that it only goes 185 mph.

I know a car saleman who took a test drive in a Corvette with a potential buyer. The buyer lost control

of the car and went off the road into an enbankment on a sharp turn. I'm not sure if he hit anything else,

but he did quite a bit of damage to the car, and they both ended-up at the hospital as outpatients.

The good news is that after all was said and done the man still bought the car.

Well, I've driven a few American cars and they are all right. But it feels different from driving a Camry or Corolla. It's just different. Honda CR-Z has a good reputation in Japan, but in the states they sold less than 6000 of them. :( If I won a big one next month, maybe I should wait till next spring to buy a Prius C Concept.

Pretty car hearsetrax! And these days, when I see a year like 1972 I think the car was well built, maybe made better than some of the newer models, but I don't know that for sure.

Thanks. And yea, in SoCal, it's been fog and mist near the coast most of this week... pretty miserable. I think it's supposed to be clearing out though and it's still decent weather even with the fog so it's no biggie. Since my main transport is my bike I'm really not looking forward to the rain.

I had moved out to the west coast and had someone in the family pass so I've just been spending more time out and about, plus just overall there's a lot more to do out here, so most of my free time has been spent out doing that. I have a decent bike right now that gets the job done but I get jealous every time I pass someone with a really nice Trek one. At least with my current bike there's no big risk in it getting stolen or parts taken like I see so many of. With that car, I'm so glad they have the convertible, I like the look of the normal one but not too much of a fan of those doors.
