I have bought software and replaced hardrives etc and had no problem with more than one vendor who let me re-install without an extra fee. One took his time in responding but eventually gave in. I gave my order #'s etc. and asked without getting excited and in a demanding tone, and everything worked out fine. Communication is important.

I have had also softwares that could not again be registered with the same original serial that was sent to me after buying the programs.

This was due to me changing a hard drive for another and then installing the operating system on the newer hard drive.

Such has also happened after changing computers and trying to install and register the software on the newer computer.

And has also happened after a hard drive format and reinstallation of the O.S.

It is very upsetting.

When it comes to prediction software that works , we all have a similar definition. The best any claim is they improve your odds of winning and even that's hard to prove.

In my opinion there is a vast difference between private use and comercial.

Many software products have a why to know it's you. I can login to my ISP from any of my computers because I'm the only user. If I handed out my account login and pass to other people my account would be shut down.

Bob - If this was how software companies worked, they would all be out of business.

You have to think about it, if this was the case then 1 person could buy a software app and install it on 100 different peoples computers. You think a software company would be ok with that?

You bought this software 2-3 years ago, and now you are trying to install in a different computer (or same computer with new formatting), and you get pissed at the company because it doesn't work? Even after they explained in detail why you are having issues?

It's safe to say that most software entities sell licenses for a SINGLE use (1 computer per license).

They even offered you a new license for your new computer for a measly $18 bux and you still bash them?

Some registrations or serial numbers are tied-up to a particular hard drive or operating system installation or both so if you re-install and or change the hard drive the old or original serial number-registration will no longer work.

But it is possible that some registrations can also be tied-up to other hardware other than the hard drive or they can be tied-up to an operating system installation and or to parts of it.

The license you purchased is only valid for one computer. You cannot transfer LONA to another computer; it will not work. You can't install LONA a second time on any computer; the Serial Number only works once on one computer. So, it's not that the Serial Number is invalid, it's just that the Serial Number has already been used.

Sounds like you can only use it on the computer it is originally downloaded to, you don't have the option of trying to make it work on another computer. They should do a better job of explaining that in their advertisement so their customers only download to the computer they will be using it on.

If you reinstalled the operating system on the same computer, you probably can't use that key again.

My best advice would be to find proof you paid.

If you used PayPal just scroll your account payments until you find it and the payment number. Also search your inbox and saved mail, nothing like sending your complaint with a copy of your payment.

Write and say: My name is xyz. I paid for this L.O.N.A. software on date xyz, by method xyz, payment number xyz, this is the serial number xyz I received, it used to work and has now stopped working giving error message xyx, what should I do... [ More ]

Sorry I misunderstood your problem. I thought you were trying to get the software to do something it wasn't designed to do. If their copy protection scheme caused your software to stop working then they should correct the problem. I've read advertisements for that software and always thought their claims were too good to be true.

I had a similar problem when I used commercial software, it required a new password every time it was updated which the company didn't mind sending to its register o... [ More ]

They are putting difficulties to his clients.

I think they have a big problem with their program of checking antipiracy

(I think its called Criptkey), that act against the well-meaning clients.

They must change this autentify program or are going to have many problems with his clients.

A similar thing happened to me. My hard drive died and so I had to buy a new computer. When I contacted them about it, they said I had to unregister my old copy first before I could reregister a new copy on a different computer. When I explained what happened and that there was no way to run anything off my dead drive, they told me that's for antipiracy and all and that I could purchase an additional license for the new computer. Maybe when you typed in the serial number you got the number Zero,0 and the letter O mixed up. This is assuming you have both in your serial number. If so try switching them around, Good luck

Is it possible the company didn't understand what the issue was? Judging by the posts on this thread, most of us couldn't understand either, due to the language barrier.

If your serial # is not valid any longer, maybe you should talk to the company again and say Dear company xxx, I purchased this lottery software a year ago and now my serial # is showing as invalid

If your problem is not winning the jackpot then no software is going to solve your problem. Software is limited to the statistics what it was designed to calculate, if you want more then you have do the calculating yourself.

The advantage of using a spread sheet or a program you wrote yourself to calculate statistics is when you want to use the data a little differently, you can write a macro or change a line of code to get the results you want.
