Now Missouri is doing it.

There's a few people in a lab, a couple of scientists, a blackboard with a long mathematical formula on it, and they're talking about picking numbers for the Missouri Pick 3.

A female there says, I play my kids birthdays and one scientist says, Absurd and another says, Brilliant

I betcha tiggs could tell you some stories about this. They had it tough back in those days

When he was a kid they didn't even have electricity, it wasn't invented yet.

So they had to watch TV by the light of a candle.

Which they had to make out of ear wax.

You kids don't know how easy you got it nowadays.

A few years ago, we had commercials for the now defunct Cash Quest game that featured Jimmie Walker and Phyllis Diller. I guess they were OK.

I saw one on my trip to Florida last week that featured Pat Sajak and Vanna White for a Wheel of Fortune themed scratch off.

Yeah, I hear that, ridge. We have a commercial by a car dealer here that's the worse one ever, the audio sounds like he's on an old reel-to-reel stereo on reverb.

The ones from the Kentucky lottery don't crank the volume up, thank goodness, but they are funny. The latest one has numbered cats and the first three cats out are the Pick 3.

There was a thread a while back on whacky ways of picking numbers. I wonder if the people making these commercials read it.

Ever since they started making the volume blast when commercials come on, I've grown accustomed to muting the sound whenever one comes on, no matter what it is. I've also learned to slow my respiration to the point just above that required for hibernation. This places me in what I call a stupor-trance for the duration of the commercial. Alcohol is, of necessity, a contributing factor.

So I am completely unaware of anybody trying to sell me anything on tv.

We get Lottery commercials here in FL, but they are usually only when a new game is introduced. I have seen some funny ones but not from Florida.

I remember seeing a post here on LP about lotto commercials. Some of them were funny

Where I live in Illinois we get commericals for the Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky lotteries.

Just saw a new for Kentucky- a girl is bobbing for ping pong balls and comes up with a thrid ball and then it shows the number 417. Someone did something else and it showed a four digit number, 4080 I think. I wonder how many people are playing these!

In a previous one for the Kentucky lottery, it showed a guy in Hooter's and all the girls had uniform numbers. He filled out a playslip with those... [ More ]
