I think with Powerball increasing to $2 starting in 2012, I think Powerball will hit a United States jackpot record sometime next year. In the meantime, both Mega Millions and Powerball won consecutive jackpots in the last draw.

Well, we are getting into rarified air with the 13th roll of Powerball. I wanted to see the Jackpot get to the $300,000,000 area before the end of the year. Its one roll away

also to person voting 400m, er, powerbal has a CAP. to game changes next year, that jackpot cap will kick in , locking it at 390, even if sells support 400+ size

lucky, where getting rid of stupid idea that is jackpot cap next year

i also voted for 200m, as i can see both mm and pb hitting near 200m, or 100m cash mini before end of year.

The odds of winning $2 PB (1 in 175 million) will be the same as $1 MM so it will be interesting to see if PB players switch to MM in the states that offer both games.

If one of the games were to get very large, I would expect it to be Powerball.

With their price doubling after the new year, it might seem like a 2 for 1 sale for a lot of people who say they won't play it again after the price increase.
