A report out of Las Vegas says Dan Wheldon spent the final night of his life creating a permanent bond with his wife, Susie.

The popular 33-year-old Indy Car driver died after a ghastly 15-car wreck that sent his car into the air and then into a wall on Turn 2 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Dan Weldon, age 33 driving No 77 slammed car in

front of his then went airborne crashing into

a fence in turn 2. It caused a horriffic 15-car

wreck on LAP 11???12??? or 13??????????????????

It was a 34-car field and Weldon was 25th when

cars began spinning in front of him. Dan will

be missed by his many friends, fans LP alike.

Dan Wheldon was killed in a 15-car pileup at Las Vegas Motor on Sunday in the Izod IndyCar Series season finale.

Wheldon was 33.

The crash started in front of Wheldon, the reigning Indianapolis 500 champion and 2006 series champion, and his car launched off of a car in front of him, flipped into the catchfence and erupted in flames on Lap 12.

At one point during the crash, three cars were airborne and upside down.

Wheldon was going for a $5-million bonus for he and a fan in Sunday's... [ More ]
