I remember when I was a kid my uncle had cartoon picture in his basement. It was a fish looking at a hook with a worm on it. The caption was Even a fish would not get in trouble if he kept his mouth shut .

Ever try to sit in a Maserati or Ferrari? I've ridden in a deLorean Gull wing and peeps, it ain't pretty trying to get out if you're over 30 years of age and more than 15 pounds overweight--LOL

If people are asking a question like that you're probably not even trying to keep a low profile.

As near as I recall, the vast majority of the losers that turn up on TV have made themselves very obvious. If you don't want to be bothered, don't act like you've got a crapload of money. Good stuff so far folks.

What made me think about this was one of the winners on The Lottery Changed My Life, the ex-sherrif who stayed in the same town and said he had millionaires that had made bad real estated deals asking him to bail them out.

That series has shown a lot of people asking winners formoney, but people who are already millionaires, yikes!

I figure no matter where you go you're eventually going to run into nosy people, thus the thread.

Quickly buy as much good farmland as you can afford. Move there. Rent your land to farmers for income.

Nobody will be bugging you for money because it's all tied up in real estate and you live in the middle of nowhere.

Don't mention it. If asked how you can afford a car like that, just smile. With friends and family it's a little different, invest in something you can say you made your money in, if you are worried about saying lotto. Some people do get that strange look on their face when they think you have free money thinking you'd be willing to share or invest in their vision of a hardware store boat wash and bar.

I guess it depends on the size of the jackpot as to how much of a low profile you will need but I will do the interview at the lottery and that is it. Because you can not remain anonymous in oregon and I know how to tell people no. So all I need to do now is win the lottery and I would be happy with a small jackpot just as I would be happy with a big one. OK, let's say you move away.

You're probably going to buy a nice place to live in. Not too extavagant, but real nice.

Then someone is going to know who you are and what you do or did.

I was thinking of a cover story something like you made a lot of money in mail order, just selling information, but then the internet came along and really slowed that business down.

Something like that.

You can also blend in. Whatever lifestyle you choose to live, do so in an area with that particular lifestyle. Don't build your McMansion in the old neighborhood. If you build your McMansion hidden out of sight back in the hills, don't take the Maserati to the grocery store in Podunk USA.

It comes down to common sense.

2) Form a LLC ( Trust Fund )

3) Aquire Attorney , Financial Advisor , Accountant and Public Relations Person
