I hope I never have to get a lottery check by mail.

The McNutts'll get it and go out and buy another truckload of shotgun shells fer sure.

You can hear 'em shootin' and hootin' and hollerin' down the mountain dam near 24 hours a day.

I don't know what the hell they're shootin' at.

I am unfamiliar with a mailing of checks to a third party- Banks or otherwise. It must be to the claimant at the address noted on the claims form for PA.

I did win well when I traveled out to california and they mailed my check but stipulated if the value was over 5 k I had to travel back to their state to pick up the check, they wouldnt fedex or certify it for out of state pays. Can you list the states that you know of that do mail checks of any value to winners? I'd be interested to see the... [ More ]

The PA Lottery Winners Handbook states:

The Pennsylvania Lottery does not offer direct deposit.

Winners checks are sent via certified mail, or winners may make arrangements to pick checks up at Lottery headquarters or area offices.

There are some states that will mail the checks directly to the winner's bank.

Does Pennsylvania have this option
