I won't play PB at all. The doubling of the ticket cost is pure greed. It does matter if they raise the jackpot, only one or two tickets will win that - the millions that will pay twice the amount has the same hundreds of millions to one odds. They are making money hand over fist holding that carrot out in front of us. If you do win that large an amount, you'll have to leave the country or face the chaos of everyone turning on you. Honestly, I don't mind because...even if Powerball comes to Cali, I will be only playing two sets of numbers every time. 4 bucks per game? That's not bad.

If Idaho's games were better I might but they pretty much suck so I'll pay the $2 for powerball.

Come to think of it, Idaho doesn't have their own large JP game. We have a regional game that includes 3 other states - Wild Card 2 - that's 2 lines for a dollar. And we have an exclusively Idaho game called Weekly Grand but the max prize on that is 52K, and it costs $2. So I'm thinking PB is better than either of these.

I wouldn't play more state games or any state games period no matter what the price went to.

I live in Tennessee where they draw numbers with computers and they've been caught cheating us before.

I don't get fooled again.

I'll play state games again when they go back to real ball drawings.

Until then I'll keep buying the state games in Virginia as a lot of us have been for a long time.

If they are smart, they'll stay $1. At least until the economy gets heck of a lot better!!

Personally, I hope PB loses big - like Netflix. Really? Raise your prices with this economy

Yes, I will definitely think about playing more local games than PB because of the new cost. However, the prize amount for the state Cash 5 is usually pretty low, so I may just play my one quick pick MM and save the rest since I never win anyway.

Doubt if I will participate in the PB. Of course, I rarely if ever play so the change really means little or nothing to me. What I see happening lies with the impulsive buyer. You know, the one who gets a few dollars in change, then throws a buck on the counter and says, Give me a quick pick! That player will now think twice before throwing two dollars on the counter. I believe PB's revenue will drop a bit with the $2 ticket.

If the lower tier payouts are lower than they currently are, as someone posted on the JP board, then I'll be playing a lot less. I don't see myself ever buying the powerplay for $3. Two bucks is more than enough for my budget.

I'll be playing PB less than I do now.

I usually play an extra couple lines on PB when the pot gets big or the mood strikes me but I won't be doing that anymore. Just my usual one line of my picks and one line of QP's from now on, nothing extra.

Just my little protest vote.

I'll continue to play extra lines occasionally on MM unless they raise their price too.
