You don't have to know which days to skip, just play all 4 days if it doesn't hit by then drop it. But often the pattern/ sequence will change by then anyway. It all depends on the numbers. See ya.

There's an old saying: don't knock it if you haven't tried it. If qp's and astrology work for you then go for it. There's over 121,000 members on LP and probabably just as many systems. Some work well some don't, if you find a good one then stick with it till you find something better.

The Amazing Kreskin wouldn't know what days to skip.

You say this works for you but all I'm seeing is estsblish a theory and keep researching until you find 'evidence' to prove the theory.

For jackpot games, Pick 5 and up, I play QPs. A lot of people here don't like them but search the Pick 5 Forum for Illinois Little Lotto results threads for 2008, 2009, and 2010, see what you find.

The sequences don't always fall on consecutive days. Sometimes they may skip a day or two or three or four. You play it for a few days if it doesn't hit then drop it. That is just the nature of it, study it, look for it and you will see it.

You said you don't play a lot of pick3, well that is all I play and it works for me. So I ask again, how do you pick your numbers

A one up one down workout may work once in a while but when it does work it is in fact luck.

All lottery games are designed not to show any consistency and people look for consistency where it doesn't exist.

Any workout may work sometimes, for a day, a little longer, but none will ever work all the time. If one ever does the game it works on will be changed or no longer exist.

The lottery is always many steps ahead of the players.

It looks to me like hurley1333 did a one up, one down workout and the number came in and he was wondering if it was random or not. His 2 draws are in sequence when boxed. I often do 3 draws and get hits, (so I have no reason to go with 4 draws).

Often times things like this cause people to question the randomness of the lottery and I have too, when I see the same digit hit in the same position for 6 or 7 days in a row.

You are describing three draws which when written down produce numbers vertically. (Try that every fourth draw and see how bad you get stuck).

On what planet does that have anything remotely related to this, posted bu hurley1333:

Take a look at this combo 821. Subtract 1 from 8, and 1, then add 1 to 2 . Get 703 and scramble. This does not seem like a random number set

This sounds like a Pick 3 version of an Oakland Raiders flea-flicekr play.

You could look at any two numbers and come up with some kind of zig zag to get to the second one, this one sounds like quite a reach.

What you have done is to notice a pattern/sequence. As you study and track numbers you will see things like this all the time. It is not unusual at all. The best thing to do is to remember it and notice when it happens again. Maybe with the same number or maybe with a different number. Look for numbers in each position that alternate, or appear consecutively, or add or subtract from each other. 7,5,3. 6,4,8. 9,6,3. 0,4,8 alternate. 4,3,2. 5,3,4. 6,5,7.consecutive. 8=5-3 subtract.

You seem to be seeing something that isn't there.

The drawings are broadcast on WGN-TV (within the state, some of us far from Chicago don't always get them though). It's ping pong balls, not a RNG.

Think of a Pick 3 as three columns of the numbers 0 throuh 9. Not that far fetched for any digit or digits to repeat with a 10 number field to draw from.

Is Illinois Lottery genuinely random?

I have looked at the Pick 3 and pick 4 results over the last two years and some results cause me to wonder how truly random the lottery is. Are numbers manipulated?

For starters, take a close look at the pick 4 below of 9004 (evening 1/5/2012) and 5811 (middday 1/5/2012). Also take a look at 4314 of 1/3/2012 evening and 3214 of 1/4/2012 middday. Random events are not this numerically ordered
