Can't say I would. Too much too lose and even if the odds are good, somebody's gotta lose.. I'm still hesitant to buy $20 tickets. Only bought one once (won $25) and am always seeing people buy, sctrach, look disappointed, and then throw away those tickets in the stores. Very discouraging.

No, I would never pay $100 for one ticket. Once I bought some Florida raffle tickets (think it was in 2007) when there was a July 4th drawing. $20 each. Didn't win anything and said never again. I prefer losing my money at a much slower rate. LOL

I'm to tight to play a 20.00 scrath off lol. When I don't get anything from a 10.00 ticket I'm mad as hell lmao. I know if they did come out with a 100.00 ticket, they would have some big winning tickets(but no mill) when it first come out, just to get you into playing em. alot. After that , it will slack off alot. I don't like em. and I dont think their are that many big winning tickets on a roll. But I'ts all about timing.

Not sure, I would wait and monitor the sales or the wins on the website and see how theyre doing. Not a good idea to buy a stale product, as you could buy 20 tickets and never win a dime because the winning packs are sitting stale in a lower income area where no one is buying. With prize amounts like that, you would probablly have more than average amount of tickets in circulation. I would consider the amount of tickets in circulation, and the number of prizes.

Here In TX, we have two $50 tic... [ More ]

This question was raised several years ago and my opinion hasn't changed. A $100 scratcher would have to be a special ticket in the sense that it couldn't take on characteristics of the normal $5,$10, or $20 denomination. Some states have tried tickets in the past where the overall odds are 1:1. WHAT? 1:1!!! Yes, 1:1; however, you aren't going to like what I say next. The prizes would start at (likely) $20 or $30 and go up from there. So, in other words, you wouldn't drop $100 and leave empty ha... [ More ]

Agreed. If you followed my response previous to your comment, I believed that there should be a MINIMUM cash prize of $150-200, with 1:2 odd's on

a $50 million dollar first prize tier. (Ideally three 50 mill. prizes, 10 $1 mill. prizes). These are of course hypotheticals only.

As I began this forum with the hypothetical 1:2 odd's, and probably more realistically also at least 10 or more lower tier prizes of $1 million.

It would have to be a population rich state or multi-states as well, to sell the 10-20 million tickets necessary to generate those prize levels. Probably Mass CA or TX. The minimum prize, in my opinion shouldn't be just $100, more like $150-200.

If a state came out with this pricey gem, would you consider parting with a C note?

Obviously for that amount the odd's should be at least 1:2 of getting any prize. Let's say the jackpot was for $50 million, with second third prizes of $500,000 $250,000 and many more smaller cash prizes.

I believe the current highest price for a scratcher is $50 (I heard this while watching How the lottery changed my life last Sunday). I didn't catch what state(s).

Any takers
