i did spend an extra 2$ on jc5 today (tip $) cuz i went to buy milk/gas and the JP was @ 370g. someone won it not me.

That is one of the best ways of playing to win without spending extra money.Saving lottery lines to play big is a great way of increasing your chances of winning.

When I go to lottery retailers to spend $20 on lottery tickets, they think that I might be spending too much, but they did not see me going to their store everyday because I was saving those $20 for 4 weeks or 2 months in order to spend $20 on one shot.

was thinking along the same lines,

not a reg.PB player but when it gets up there,

i could spend my pic 6 $ + my MM $ = to $ 3 per draw,

and just skip the 6/49 and the MM at that time.

this way i stay in budget.

But what if that one Saturday you don't play to save some money, and your regularly played numbers come up?

You save a few bucks, but possibly lost millions on the first or second prizes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still in agreement to be more Thrifty.

Save the $5 and spend $20 on powerball every month.You increase your chances by playing less often for more lines.You do not have to play every drawing to win a jackpot.

I don't think it will really change for me. Last year I had no job and too much time on my hands. This year I have a job and only buy tickets when I got days off or feel like stopping somewhere on my way home. Now that I have money adding $1 per game doesn't bother me too much. I stay varied between PB, MM, and Hoosier Lottery depending on which jackpot is looking good at a particular time.

Same per week. But overall, I'd liked to cut it there and not buy an extra ticket on a whim -- like heading to the gas station and grabbing some quarters out of the change jar. Feels strange to scrounge up $2 on a whim. Big picture, less lines but not by much. (Granted, this is all one month into the new pricing. Ask me again if we see two more $300m jackpots.

Less. With a JP this high, I'd be buying 10 or more per drawing if I could get a $1 ticket. With the $2 tickets I'm buying 5 or 6.

As soon as this JP is hit my lines will go way down for a couple weeks.

I was just wondering if you guys were playing more or less lines w/ or w/o PO since the change. I still play my same 5 lines and an occasional quick pick. trying to focus more on the CT classic lotto.3.2 million ain't bad either. and the odds are better.
